I'm ready to kill my cat!!!!

Oh, Purrley! Sorry about yout box spring. Mine is relatively new too (and those things are NOT cheap! What are those coils made of anyway, platinum?!?), and I have vowed not to look under there no matter how much I may want to. I like my kitties alive.
A few years ago, I had a roommate who got pregnant-had the baby-moved out a year later ( ). Anyway, NY State law says that you have to have bars on your windows if you have children, so we got them put in. One morning, after the baby had cried all night, she looked at me and said that she had finally discovered why they make you put bars on your windows-so that you don't throw the baby out!!
I still have those bars on my windows and have decided to keep them so that I don't throw the cats out!
Logan, I'm with you-no carpeting in my place!I recently bought a 6 x 9 rug for my living room, and I have to vacuum that thing all the time! Orange fur stands out against a red rug a lot more than I thought it would!

Well, I rolled up a large piece of carpet left over from my new carpet job and shoved it under the bed where the dirty deed is being done. Can't see how Panda can get to it to scratch now - so far so good

Cinder never ever scratches furniture or anything else!!! She is such a good kitty

Cinder sounds just like Bo, a sweet and well behaved kitty! Cute pic of Cinder, no wonder she's the Cat's Meow!
Bo has all of her claws but knows just where to scratch and where not to. We just installed new carpeting, and the only mishap she's done so far is to throw up in the hallway this morning. Fortunately, I caught the mess early and cleaned it up before it could stain.

BosMom - that's the key - clean it up really quick - unfortunately my kitties pick the time when I'm at work to throw up. I can always count on a mess or two (from Spencer) to clean up when I get home - after its set for 8 hours oh well - comes with the territory

Thank goodness for hardwood floors. It dries and I clean it up with a broom and dust pan. Get one of those dust pans on a stick and no more bending over.

Purrley, I've found that Resolve Pet Odor and Stain cleaner in the orange bottle works even on 8-hour old messes. The key is, soak the spot real good and let it sit for 10 minutes like the instructions say. Also, if your cat food contains dye, it will be harder to remove from a rug. I switched to Science Diet and haven't had any staining problems (so far...)
