...RIP, our sweet Gini...
I have a wonderful Aby named Costello (right now in my lap, actually). He is such a sweet and curious guy and he wants to be with me always to see what’s going on. Abys are very different from other cats when the most important thing for them is their owner. They are full of energy and so curious of everything. When I grab something – whatever it is – he just has to see what it is.
You’ll find more pictures of Costello at our website: http://www.abycat.com
And here’s another great Aby site where the photographer really captured the Aby Spirit:

Aby's are fantastic! She keeps me on my toes all the time. At present her game is scratch the carpet - which she knows she is not allowed to do.

"A cat cannot see directly under its nose. This is why the cat cannot seem to find tidbits on the floor."
Scary pic LOL...
I haven't any experience with abyssinians but I thing they're very cute and adorable kitties!

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, Barbara.Beautiful pctures from everyone!! Their coat is short I guess? I hate to admitt it, but I'm so allergic to my Calico my eyes swell if I brush her and don't cover my nose. Is the Aby good as far as being good for a person with allergies? By the way, the calico is a domestic longhair, and Angel is a DSH tabby...Thanks.....P![]()

Abys do change the rules. You are almost never alone with an Aby. If you live in a condo or apartment with enclosed hallways you will get to know your neighbors when your Aby runs into their home should they be so careless as to open their door. Abys are gregarious, athletic, playful, active and become strongly bonded to their owners. They demand a lot of your attention and are worth every moment. They make terrific companions and you can't help but love them.
Mango who gets to the top of a door in a single leap from the floor
Peaches - no glass of wine is safe around her!
Dante - older and wiser... but active even at eight years old

Hello Randy_K;
I had a cat a few years ago I'm pretty sure was an Aby mix. He had a long body, long legs, big ears and a face just like an Aby, except he was white. His gymnastic abilities were amazing. I could throw a mouse toy high over his head, and he would leap four feet into the into the air and snag it. I have an open beam house design, and he could leap to the top. He was very vocal, and had a purr like a jackhammer. We used to take walks together outside, and when I told him to get inside, we would play this game of "cat hears, takes message, and will get back later". I had to follow him around the house several times, all the while he was hissing at me and trying his best to iqnore me. Finally he would give up and go inside, and demanded I brush him for several minites. He was a handful, always kept me on my toes with his mischief. Next cat I get will be an Aby, I love their gymnastics and they are so great looking.
Thanks for the pictures.......P
