Good thoughts are on the way.

I agree with eveyone to not get too upset yet. I think every thing will be okay. Like Kim said, the vet check is a good idea and will help ease your mind.

My two cats have been tested for FeLV but neither of them have been vaccinated against it. They are both indoor kitties and neither of them try to escape so there isn't a credible risk of them contracting it. I spoke with several different vets about it and they pretty much agreed. Was Lily an indoor cat with her first family? If so, that could be a reason. The fact that she wasn't tested does worry me though. My prayers go out to you. I'm sure everything will be just fine!

    Thanks, Kim, Jazzcat and Joker.

joker98, Lily's mommy is an indoor/outdoor cat and so was Lily for a couple of weeks, before I brought her home. So there is very well a risk, and the vet should have known.

Friday is still two days away, and I have to admit I'm really nervous!

Lily hasn't been her old naw-tee self today but slept a lot instead, and I would feel so much better if I would know the test is negative (which it hopefully is!!!).

    Kirsten,
What is, IS. Please don't look backward, there isn't anything to be gained. Positive thoughts, and know you will deal with the situation, whatever it is.

    Hugs to you three.

    Thanks!

It's just that this waiting is making me so nervous! I'm looking at my girls, I see how close they are and how much they love each other, and wonder what will be in case the test is positive...

I spoke to Lily's first family today (the family of her mommy) and they were also shocked to hear this. After all, the same goes for Lily's brother Baghira who still lives with them.

His human mommy said that it's especially risky since the neighbors' cat has never been vaccinated and he has played with the kittens during the summer (and he still plays with Baghira).

I'm really getting nervous now when I'm thinking about the test tomorrow!

    Please wish us luck!!!

    Thanks,
    Kirsten

    Kirsten,

After checking the sites moomom sent I felt much better. I think everything will be fine but the waiting is awful!!!

Maybe Lily is not being her usual nawtee self because she can feel the tension. Sure hope so.

You can have Hallie because she is making up for all the nawteeness right now...
