Good thinking, Chris, to purchase a couch that goes so well with Ebby's fur!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

I can't afford a new couch so I thought the next best thing was to get a throw and some cushions covers and pads. Last week the throw and cushion covers arrived but not the pads. Of course Ebby had to do an inspection . I missed getting the funniest part on camera, she came through the door and stopped dead when she saw it, then proceed to sniff all around the back. By the time I got the camera she was sitting on it.

    Hmmmm, it's okay I suppose

Missing something though, don't you think?

Which of course was the big cushions. They arrived yesterday and she had a similar reaction to seeing the throw for the first time - and I missed getting it on camera again! I was sitting on the couch when she came around the corner and jumped up, she sniffed all over one cushion, then I moved so she could sniff the other. The verdict is that she likes it all, as you can tell from the pictures of her watching tv. And today, after making me play 'find the cat' she settled down on there once again for a few hours (no tv this time though ).

I'm getting some new rugs in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know if they pass the Ebby test or not!

In my last post I mentioned how Ebby had fun in making me play 'find the cat'. I couldn't find her anywhere, and I looked! I knew she couldn't have got out, after all I'd only opened the front door for a few seconds and she was upstairs. Wasn't she?
I searched again, she wasn't anywhere! I was begining to panic when I looked again at her bedroom corner hide out ........ nope she's not on her pillow. I was just moving away when I spied the eyes staring our of the dark shape on the right!

    Yep! It was her.

She stayed there long enough for me to get pictures then came
    strolling out

and went downstairs to sleep on the couch!

Looks like Ebby's enjoying her show.

LOL!!! It's amazing the places they can find to hide. Zam and Logan have given me heartattacks and I'm in a tiny one bedroom apartment!

Oh Chris, that is so funny. How we all panic when we can't find them.

My tribe just love to get into the closets. I look and look and even check the closets - and they are soooooo quiet. When you finally find them they bound out of the closet as though they had a spring attached to them.

Part of what makes sharing your home with kitties so darn much fun (most of the time).

She tried to fool me again this morning, haha, but now I know where to look. I told her this and went downstairs. Two minutes later there she was sitting on the stairs watching me. She stayed there for five minutes or so then went back up and lay on my bed. Perhaps she needs time to figure out another new hiding place for her game, or, more likely, is trying to lull me into a false sense of security. We'll see.

Ebby, you are almost invisible except for your eyes.

I am glad you enjoy the new cover your mommy got for your big cat bed.

I need to make sure I know where Lovable is when I go out. Last week I opened the door to the linen closet and found him curled up on the towels.

    Chris,

I hate to break this to you, but it's the "false sense of security" option. It comes standard with cats....
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

    She's so cute!

But, of course, cats must inspect everything new that comes into the house. After all, it's their house and everything new can only come for them
