DON'T SAY THAT! My friends cat (I've vented about her before) is pregnet and she is giving the kittens to the SPCA. ::sigh:: If I can find enough homes, I might end up taking them and getting them there first shots/dewormer and then giving them to the homes Sada has made me fallin in love with cats! Bad bad sada

Ash I really like Denyce's idea. Whoever is buying the cat will prepay the vet for the sir jury, then when the cat is of age they just take it to vet to get fixed. So the price of the pre-pay sir jury is the price of their cat. I personally fell that just charging $50 might be a little steep. Personally if I had a choice between paying $50 for a cat and then on top of that price paying to have it fixed.. I would just go to the shelter and spend $75 on a cat where all of that is already included. Now if I had met the $50 before hand and fallen in love with it, then it would be a totally different story. But if someone just said it's $50 and you have to pay to get it fixed, I'm not sure I'd pay that much. This is why I like the pre-pay sir jury idea, because then you know that they are willing to spend money on the kitty and you know that it will be fixed.

I really need to start coming over to the cat side more often. I had no idea you had a pregnant cat with you.

I can't wait to see the little babies.

I see what you are saying Ubasoon. But the thing is is our shelter does NOT spay or nueter, so you will be paying 75 dollars for a cat with NO shots and who is NOT spayed or nuetered. I dunno. I will see explore my options. I do not understand the spay nueter thingy though. I'm a lil confussed? Could you explain it diffrently to me? (hee hee, I'm a lil slow )

Jen, I'm sending them ALL to your house

ps: Do you know what I want to do when I get older? Own my own shelter, I already have a name, how I'm going to get my money, how I'm going to get my empolyees, what I want it to look like. LOL. Guess my dream is comeing true a lil earlier then expected!

Ok Let's say you vet charges $75 to spay a kitten. Aunt Jemima wants to buy one of your kittens, instead of charging her for it Aunt Jemima pays the vet $75. So you really won't be getting a payment for the kittens, but technically you are still charging a fee since you are requiring that Aunt Jemima pays for the sir jury before she even gets to take a kitty home. Then when the kitty is old enough Aunt Jemima just has to take the kitty to the vet and since the sir jury was already paid for then she doesn't have to worry about paying for anything else. Does that make better sense?

Ash, if the vet doesn't already DO thaat, tell them it would be like buying a "gift certificate". They might find a way to do it then as that is a more common concept.

As for your sheter, may as well get your foot in the door early I'm sure all the best executives started young.
