My boyfriend and I just got a labrador puppy, and, will be looking for large crates soon. Right now, he's only 7.7 pounds, so, he's using my cat's. But, I will certainly look more carefully at kennels than I probably would have now that I've seen this site. That lab, Jasmine, was stunning, and, I'm sure an amazing puppy. It made me cry to read how she died. That must have been so confusing and frightening for her. I will definitely NOT buy that kennel, and, I will share this story with employees and consumers alike any time I'm somewhere the product is sold. That's awesome the steps the company is taking, but, it seems to me the product is obviously unsafe. Thanks for posting that!

    Thanks, Dogz!

That is such a tragic story. I fought tears as I read it. I also have that crate. Having read the whole post, I read with great interest the one about the zip ties. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the wonderful (an very helpful) tip. I am going to do that immediatly to mine.
THANK YOU again for the info.

I am so sorry that anyone would have to go thru something like that.

That is awful. The kennel should be recalled.
