    +++ Introducing... BROCK! (pics!) +++

    Well I know this is long over due, but I have been so busy lately working from 6 to as much as 10 hours a week more than usual, and of course with the new addition.. life has been pretty crazy. Well, I posted a thread a while ago, prob about 2 months ago, announcing that my parents finally said I could get a dog. So, over the past several weeks I’ve been keeping a close watch on the available dogs on petfinder, at the humane society I volunteer at, and more recently, at australian shepherd rescue.

    Finally, I found the dog Id been looking for. I knew from the moment I saw him that he was the one, but of course my parents had hoped for a small dog, and they werent keen on an aussie; they assumed it would be too hyper, always running around the house, etc. So I had a long discussion with them, they agreed to meet the dog, and well, long story short, we now have a dog! I adopted him on January 27th. His name was originally Tyler, but he’s now called Brock. He’s a big boy- 60lbs, about a year old, he was found as a stray, brought into a shelter, and then transferred to a foster home through aussie rescue and placement helpline. He is simply marvelous. I am continually amazed by how well behaved he is. I am just waiting for something to go terribly wrong because things are going so well! haha He adores people and other dogs, loves to play, is very calm in the house, wonderful with the cats (THANKFULLY)- just perfect! So anyhoo, here are a few photos:

    "A dog's mind is a terrible thing to waste."

    "In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." -Edward Hoagland
