Your husband sounds like mine. He has the best intentions but he moves to fast for the cats. He gets down on his knees and *KATHUNK* the house vibrates!! He reaches for them to fast and he does it head on. No matter how many times I've tried to tell him to reach out slowly and don't approach them head on he still does it. He wonders why most of the cats are nervous around him!!!
On a good note....He does try and it sounds like your hubby is getting really involved too. I think that is great!!
