I am married 2 1/2 years... and I proposed to my husband... bought my own a ring and all!

He was married before and it was BAD... she thought she could sleep with whomever she wanted, he thought otherwise He swore that he'd never marry again, so I had to change his mind!

I love being married and there's nothing like it when you are with someone who loves you unconditionally! Good luck and above all else - have FUN on your wedding day! Forget about the perfect moment, the perfect photo, the perfect everything... enjoy that day because it goes by so fast!

I'm an "Other". Dick and I have been together 21+ years and are not married. We've lived together 14 years. Don't see any need to get married. He loves me, I love him and we have 5 dogs together - that's as committed as we need to be.

I am ammending my first post.....I am married to the greatest guy in the world. He cleans the house, helps with laundry (if I allow him to lol), fixes everything that's broken, and is remodeling the entire house himself. He already has the one bathroom done and is virtually finished with the living room and is working on the other bathroom and then has visions of the kitchen next. Whenever I need him, he's always there (like this morning I got up late and he went and got my clothes from the basement and started my car). He also is as big of a animal lover as I am, which, from everything I've heard is somewhat of a rarity. (Pet Talk men excluded).

Mugsy did it so I have to do it too I'm adding onto my statement because I think my husband is also very special and unique. He helps me cook, clean, does the laundry (except the folding part!), is always out in the yard when it's warm gardening and beautifying the place up, he loves the dogs, worries and fusses about me if I seem to be pushing to do too much, is understanding (most of the time) and compassionate. I am very blessed!

Other: widowed just four yrs ago after 10 incredible and wacky years. Had been married (disastrously) at 18 and after 3 yrs and two babies was divorced. Took me over 25 years to risk it again. Best thing I ever did. Too weird and set in my ways to consider it again. I believe Emmy Lou Harris has a song "I never will marry, I'll be no mans wife - I expect to live single, all the rest of my life"
