I lied. It's actually 5 degrees out, with a wind chill of minus 7.

We have the same advisories as Karen mentioned, and a lot of schools here have cancelled as well.

I didn't know u were sisters She was the 3rd person in Ottawa that I knew of

Wish work would be cancled. I had to go home by bus tonight & it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO windy, I was almost knocked over at the bus stop. I had to lean up against the bus stop sign so I wouldn't fall because its gusts of wind. It was -26C & windchil of -41C & the wind was blowing at 33 Km/Hr.

I was wearing 2 coats, -50 snow pants, boots (not very warm, have too many holes), a hoody thing (it like a balaclave with face hole) I had the going in my coat & I couldn't move my head, I had my winter hat ontop of that to keep the hoody thing from allowing the wind in, & I was wearing an old dead mans leather/sheep wool gloves (I stole them from rob who stole them from his dad who was given them as a gift when the old man passed).

lol...I still wouldn't be able to handle it. I may have to rethink this whole "moving to Chicago" thing.

The big thing is that I was born here & always played in the snow & cold when I was young, so it doesn't bother me much at all.

hehe...the exact opposite here. I was born in Arizona, grew up in southern California, and have lived in Key West since I was in 6th grade.

Yep, my sister-in-law has taught me the important lesson of layering clothes while I've been up here. It's supposed to be colder tomorrow. Was 13 degrees tonight about 8:30.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

It's not as cold here as it's been the past few weeks. It was rather nice today.

The weather is terrible here in Lost Angeles,

I slept with the front door and windows open.

I had to put on my shoes to go out to the garage,
I used the windshield wipers to clear off some of the
frost on the glass.....one pass did the trick..

And I DID turn on the car heater to 1/2 power on the way to work...

    I REALLY HATE WINTER....
