Save the *Stamps* - Bark Park Application is ON-Line ~

You can all find the Hancock County Parks ~
K-9 Field of Dreams (Bark Park) yearly application form
as a PFD file here >>>

Hancock Parks DOG PERMIT Form (.pdf file)

NOTE: It's a Two Page form - with a big blank part at the top of Page 2.
Print BOTH Pages - and be sure to SIGN the "Waiver" part
at the bottom of Page 2.
Address is in the fine print at the top of Page 1.

    EDIT:
I forgot to say what ELSE you need to send along WITH the Application:

    Hancock Parks ALSO wants:
    1) *COPY* of the Vet Receipt showing that Dog(s) were Examined
    . . AND received Yearly Vaccinations;
    2) *COPY* of each Dog's RABIES CERTIFICATE
    3) I also include a *COPY* of their County License receipts

Be sure to make and send *COPIES* of these documents -
nothing will be returned with the yearly pass.

And if you've never visited the Parks Dept site before...
It is VERY nicely done - take a *peek* >>>

Hancock Parks ~ What's NEW page

    Anyone have Questions???
Post em Here or PM to "Cinder & Smoke"

Hope to see EBBERBuddie at the Findlay Spring *BLAST*

I am hoping to make it this year (depending on the date). It is a 6 hour drive for me, but it would be great to meet some of the people I have been corresponding with.

I will be in San Diego from April 8th - 15th on business, but if you plan it for the first weekend or later in the month, I should be able to make it.

I will bring Leo with me, he loves going on trips and meeting other dogs, but Penny would get too stressed out and be better off staying with my sister.

Thank You! It will be great meeting you guys also.

    Questions:

Is there a dog friendly hotel in the area that takes large dogs?

Can I send in the permit application through the mail with copies of all the vet records?

    Thanks!

    SIX hours!

I used to think Cinder, Smokey, and I were the "Long Haulers"
    at the Findlay Gathurinz...
but we're just around the corner now with a paltry 3 hour commute
    to the Bark Park!

I'll offer this as "food for thought"...

Based upon the 2003 Season; the Pet Talk Gang became
Frequent Fliers to the Findlay Bark Park...
we held 4 or 5 "Gathurinz" on Sundays throughout
the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2003!

I mention this in an attempt to let you PLAN to attend
in *nice* weather - if that term can be applied to
    OHIO weather.

I can almost assure you that we WILL have 4 or 5 Pet Talk Gathurinz
    at Findlay again THIS year.
EVERYONE - Dogs, even a KAT or two, Traffic Cones,
    and especially us HUMANS -
ALL have WONDERFUL Times at these events!!!

That said - you might want to *think* about WHICH event(s) you will
    plan to attend...
Ohio "weather" in April "MIGHT" be Sunny and 65 -
-OR- it could be rain/snow/sleet and Zero!

We *lucked out* in 2003 - I don't think we EVER had a nasty weather day!
Spring through Fall - we had beautiful days each Sunday we gathered...
PLEASE, God - can You "fix" the weather again, THIS year!?

If you and Fido are *up* to multiple 12 hour (round trip) trips -
We'll *WELCOME* you in April and throughout the year...
    But if you think only one or two trips are possible;
*I* would wait for one of the SUMMER Gathurins...
Warm & Sunny is even More "phunn"!

    I'll do some "searching" and post the DATES we met last year;
and we can ALL make some long-range plans for this New Year.

We'll see Y'all at the Bark Park!!

If you want to "search" on your own -
put [ Findlay ] into the Pet Talk search box...
and you'll find most of the Posts.

    PS: Hey STACI ~
Has Zippy-Kat given any hints as to *when*
she plans to come up North this summer???
We should "adjust" the schedule to have a Gathurin
    when SHE can make it!!

    PS 2: ~ Clara ~
YES - you can *print* the Bark Park Application and mail it in with
a COPY of the Shot & Rabies Vet Receipts.

Wunder whut she's tryin to say...

    Is THIS it, Johanna?? >>>

    Mt. Airy Dog Park

    Two Acres - is possibly a bit smaller than Findlay;
what other "amenities" are in or near the Bark Park area?

Have you & Binx visited it?
    We'll need a Binx Report!

No, not Mt. Airy...but, Anderson Township is building one- four acres! We have a temporary one right now, at a ball field, but, we are getting our very own soon. It was supposed to be done by Nov.1, oops...I will report on it once it opens. I don't know if it will be as nice as Findlays....maybe, maybe not. But, the closeness of it all...ahhhhh

"Close" takes away all the *phunn* of the nice (looong) drive...

And without the long ride home to Rest Up ~
You'd have to Carry Binx inna Howze!

Sure Phred, post the link, AFTER I mailed one to Molly

Robin- We love having you come up to Findlay, but if wanted a dog park al ittle closer that you could go to more often, there are one or two in Columbus. Try looking at www.thedogpark.com

We aresupposed to be getting another dog park a little closer to us. Still not in Toledo, but a little town to the SW called Waterville has passed an ordinance to put one in. I don't know any details about it yet, but maybe they will have a swmming hole. I can hope anyway!!!

I won't be attending this year, or atleast I don't think -- but My father, Simba, Nala and I attended last year and stayed in Super 8 Motel ..

It's very easy to get to the park from, and it's not bad of a motel either.

Nebo, Amy, & her crew also stayed there.

I couldn't remember where you all stayed...

The Findlay Super 8 WEB site says "Small Pets Welcome"...

Did they question you guys about the "size" of your Critters??
Some Motels "limit" their K9 "Guests" to 20 or 30 POUNDS...
Any problem with that Findlay Super 8 with the size or breed
    of the FurKids??

And how much (if any) "EXTRA" did the charge for the Pooches??

As for "...not attending this year..." -
    Don't give up so soon...

The didn't question us at all.. They saw both of the dogs as well at the office desk. No problems at all with breed or size.

I believe it was 10 dollars a dog.

That's true, I never know! If any, it'll probably be in June or July sometime.
