We (both Deb from One by One and I) have had further contact with Elfin's family, and everything is going great. It was a scarey thought at first with the wife's attitude, but she is a complete convert. Elfin is her best friend, he is happy and well adjusted. He had a bit of a cold and they were so worried they called us right away and took him in to the vet's. So I feel SOOOO much better now, and I knew you all would too.
