oh right there collars and leashes etc..(tones of collars we got from a clear out sale lol) are all on a little 4 hook rack in the stairwell, and the grooming supplies are in an old pencil box, we use zip lock backs and just old plastic bags as poop bags. basicly we dont do any of the fancy stuff most of you guys do lol

Well, when Moose lived with me at my house at school...there wasn't exactly a lot of room [or choice ]. I ended up keeping his food and stuff in the kitchen in one of the lowest, unused cabinets...and I tried to keep all his toys in "his" basket in my room. I didn't do too well with that though...I can't even begin to count the number of times my roommates sat on a squeaky toy on the couch, or stepped on one while walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

LOL Micki I thought that at first too until I remember that I think (might be wrong) milk in Canada comes in bags. I might be wrong tho and I know I will be corrected if I am! Well, I found out of course I was wrong, I would delete this but that would make me sound like a liar so I will just stand corrected.
Lindsey that is an awesome dog treat jar!!!
Amy, I was thinking you should buy a couple clothes baskets at the dollar store but I like Kingrattus' idea better!!! It wouldn't be hard to build a box without a lid!!! All you would need is a couple sheets of plywood!!! When I was in FFA in high school I made a dog house for our dog.
Jo, yes I would think that the food would get stale. Think you could buy or talk him into getting some rubber tubs or even a big garbage can with a tight fitting lid? I think that would be better then the open bag. Tho that is what we did when I was a kid. Oh you live and learn!
    Let me see:
    Where do I start.
Keegan's food is in a rubbermaid tub that can hold probably up to 40# of food. When I put the #35 bag in it doesn't quite fill it up. Then her food dishes sit on top of that.
I have her Bil Jac food in the fridge of course.
Her dog biscuits are under the sink, and I keep chew stuff in the cupboard in the kitchen (where I also keep Kylie's treats and no matter where I am in the house if I open that door she comes running!). I also keep both Keegan and Kylie's shampoo and conditioners in here. Any extra bags of biscuits are in my canning cupboard on my back porch. And talk about buying in bulk I had at one time probably close to 25 pounds of dog biscuits that I had bought!!! Actually I still have most of them!!! I had bought 2 - 8 lb boxes of biscuits from www.drsfostersmith.com .
Toys. hmmmmmm Keegan's toys are mostly her tennis balls and kongs but I keep them in a milk crate that I bought at the dollar store for a dollar. Usually the tennis balls are everywhere tho. Especially under the bed! I washed all the balls I could find the other day and after that I had 11 tennis balls on my kitchen floor!
Leashes and stuff are on a small peg board I made when I was a KID in Bible school.
Bandanas, material for them and my pinking shears, are in my dresser in my bedroom. The top drawer is a catch all.

and that is Keegan's spot if I am in the bathroom!

    Yep you will be corrected
Actually you're partly right. When I was growing up we had milk in bags (they're 1 litre [1.o567 quart] bags I think). But they eventually were replaced by cartons and jugs. I thought that was true of everywhere, but I just learned that the eastern provinces still get their milk in bags and that jugs never took off there.

I've never seen a milk bag LOL. I've only seen jugs, cartons, and they used to use glass bottles.

BAGS?!?!?!? What kind of bags? Isn't that odd to have in the fridge? I mean doesn't it kind of spread out and take up a lot of room?

Gawd, that's so bizarre to me.

They're hard to describe. Kinda rectangular (as rectangular as a bag filled with liquid can be LOL) and you can get special compartments in your fridge to hold them. To pour you'd have a plastif jug that the bag fits in and you just snip the corner of the bag so there's a hole for the milk to come out of.
Hopefully Primabella can get some pics for you guys.

Oh one other thing, the bags aren't flimsy like say grocery bags or ziplock baggies. They're pretty strong.

So that isn't what she is talking about 'milk bags' then?? I don't know why I thought that Canada had milk in bags.

No you were right. I was just correcting you in the fact that not all of Canada has them now. I know that some of the Eastern provinces do, and she's east of me

My dog's kibble is stored in this tin (I don't feed Iams, I just thought the tin was cute --can you see why --) What ever doesn't fit into the tin just stays in the bag with the top rolled tight until there is enough room in the tin.

The raw food is stored in the dog freezer.

Their food bowls are kept beside the tin.

Or on the deck (for the raw food)

As for treats, well they don't usually have any in the form of cookies and what not. I usually just have jerky treats because they're easy to rip into small pieces for training. My dogs got spoiled from my family at Christmas though so there's more treats than they normally have. They are all kept in the pantry, right next to our food.

Toys are always in this basket in the computer room. They never ever leave it unless I take them out to play with my dogs. My dogs don't really play with toys unless I initiate it.

Leashes are kept in the closet near the front door. The shelties only have 1 chain each and one nylon buckle collar each. I'm always misplacing them since I rarely put them on my dogs. They can usually be found somewhere in my room.
