You are welcome to email it to me if you'd like. Mike is really good at resumes. Everyone comes to him to have them done. He can try to condense it for you.

Email it to me. I can condense it to one page, I bet. They do not need to know every little thing about every "job" - just the important and relevant stuff.Originally posted by tikeyas_mom
my resume consists of a cover letter *1 page* then a 3 page resume..... i had binka nugget help me out with it, and i cant make any of the fonts smaller without making it impossible to read. i have done alot of volenteer work in the past thats why it is so long ... this would be my first paying job.
Good Luck TM, I know you'll get the job!
Something that always helps me when I am nervous....smile and say, "I am so nervous! I really believe I am well suited for the job, and just want to make a good impression"...or something similar. I find when you 'admit' you are nervous, not only does the nervousness go away somewhat, but, the other person takes pity on you, or empathy, and wants to help make you comfortable...
Good luck!
i would email it to you karen or tonya, but i am at jordans and it isnt saved onto her computer...

I would definitely take Karen up on her offer, a three page resume is too long. The only time a resume of that length is necessary is for academic positions that require you to list all your publications.
As far as listing all your volunteer work - take 3 or 4 that emphasize the skills they are looking for and list your responsibilities. For example:
Volunteer - Buffalo Animal Shelter (date - date)
Supervisor - Mary Mary
*Responsible for researching and coordinating Fundraising Activities
*Aided adoption coordinator i screening and approving adoption applications
*Responsible for creating, organizing and distributing literature to potential adoptive families
Also - I would strongly suggest that you do not use any funky fonts. Use the standard ones that are easy to read and clear. Keep with the standard 10pt font and don't overuse italics, bolds and underlines.
Most of all - when you go into the interview - be yourself. You are a lovely young woman with a great deal to offer. They would be very lucky to have you.
do i email it to [email protected] ??? i have to email from hotmail i cant from here, because i have to attach the resume links.
