My first week of college, I bought an elevator pass for $10.

Guess what doesn't exist? Elevator passes.

Oh well, rite of passage I suppose

    Sandra,
I can certainly sympathize with you, but at least they had a very good sense of humor. I take it you are still married to him? And you have returned the favor many times?

It is funny though, I remember when I was a little girl, I had an insult dictionary with insults in Spanish, German and French. I thought it was sooo funny to use on my friends, LOL.

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

Here on Cape Cod (a virtual island due to the canal) they sell tourists "tunnel passes!" lol! Is no one safe???? And yes, Tray. Still married after all these years! But at least I was forewarned as to what I was in for! He didn't know he had met his match!

No one knows who's behind the elaborate hoax. Some suspect the editor-publisher of the book, identified only as "M.L. Tanaka," is a disgruntled former Japanese tourism official. Others insist the culprit is a U.S. autoworker who lost his job to Japan in the '80s.
I find it fascinating that over 50,000 copies of this book were presumably printed, edited, perhaps proofread ... and published by a publishing company that had to be a somewhat sizable operation - and NO ONE noticed? No one spoke enough English to see what was going on? No one caught it? Wow. Weird.

I think someone in Japan has been watching too many old Monty Python episodes. That was an old python routine, I think they were using an english to romanian dictionary in their skit.

I think my father in law to be dropped his chopsticks. I know he turned red! After a moment, they all started laughing! His brother whispered to me what I had said. Something along the lines of "Thank you so much for the meal. It tasted like c*r*p." I have NEVER forgiven him for that!
Have you ever seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding? That happened to the guy who was marrying the girl lol. He was supposed to say something about going into the house for a meal, but his brother in law told him to say something about his penis, I can't remember exactly what though.

He said, "my name is Colymbosathon ecplecticos - derived from the Greek for "astounding swimmer with a large penis".
