Wow, what a scare for you and DaisyDane. I am always amazed at how something simple can be so harmful (growing) and yet something very serious can be easily fixed.![]()

It is terrific that you were watchful and got a vet to help Daisy so quickly! We want her to be happy and healthy and strong as she can be for a long long time!

Mugsy, Daisy is in great hands with you taking care of her!We will have you in our prayers and thoughts for a quick and full recovery.
Great to hear that Daisy can expect a full recovery. And she couldn't be in better hands than yours.
Thank you for the invitation to your PetTalk friends to drop in for a visit. In my case, it'd have to be a 'drop down' for a visit. I'd have to parachute out of a QANTAS jet flying overhead. So keep an eye on the sky...I'd love so much to visit with you & your gorgeous pets.

Oh, Mugsy, you are truly an angel to these babes. I wish you could get some kind of funding for the work you are doing. Have you ever explored that?
Mugsy,
I just caught up with this posting about
Daisy.I am so very sorry that Daisy is in such pain!!Took your advice & looked HOD up
on the Vetinfo website. This 'growing pains'
thing sounded so similar to what my dog Bud
experienced at around 6 mos of age.My Vet
said Buddy's bones were growing faster than
the supporting muscle & tissue could handle.
Bud was taken off Puppy food & put on Adult
dog food with less calcium.
You and Daisy will stay in my thoughts &
prayers for a full recovery !!! Liz

Mugsy, so sorry to hear about Daisy's scare. Poor girl. Glad to hear though that the vet was encouraging, although it will still be a long, painful road to maturity. Sounds like her very special momma is tending to her every need and showering her with love, keeping her warm and comfy. Please give her hugs and kisses and get well soon wishes from her far away friends, Sandra, Star and Cody

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do,
I'm just wonderin', how is it going with you?
We have paws and fingers crossed here for you along with the others'. Lys says she'll share her bones with you so you'll have something to do while you recover. Drink lots of water, girl, and eat good things and get better FAST!
Daisy is making a remarkable recovery. Mike took her outside today while he is working in the yard and he had to bring her in because she got up and walked around the yard and got too adventuresome. She also went down the steps into the garage and harassed Serenity, who is in the backyard playing. When she came in she was walking around the house and she got up on the couch. So she is getting back to her old self. She's even getting talkative again.
Thanks for all your good thoughts...I'm sure that's what helped her get better sooner than anyone had ever imagined.

Thanks Liz, prayers are always good things!!
Daisy has made an incredible recovery. She is running around like a little banchee and eats Serenity's head and goes up and down the stairs with relative ease. She is back to her mouthy little self too!!! lol
Thanks for your interest. We should meet up sometimes...we're definitely not that far away!
