I was just sitting here, reading these lovely responses to you, Lisa, and thinking just how lucky we are in many ways. First of all, we have developed such a wonderful support group with our fellow animal lovers, that we need and want to share good and hard times with each other. And secondly, what a blessing it is that we are able to help our beloved pets on to eternal life when they are suffering. We don't have that power with our fellow human beings, but we can be brave and strong, as you and Kevin are being today, and help our friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    Logan

I'm so sorry to hear that Roxie has to go, but considering the life he has had lately, it's the best desicion you could make. I'm sure this is what he would have asked you to do if he could speak. No more pain and suffering. Remember the good times and know you are doing the right thing.

It's such a sweet picture of Gypsy nursing Roxie - thanks so much for sharing.

My thoughts are with you in this diffcult time.

    Rest in peace dear Roxie.

    Hugs from
    Randi

Thank you all!!! This IS very hard, but I know it's for the best. I felt so guilty looking at her this morning knowing what was going to happen.

This is a wonderful support group as Logan had said.

Again, thank you for your support.

May you RIP sweet Roxie. You are making the hardest and yet kindest decision, K&L.

We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan.

    ***Hear Hear Logan***

I'm just so sad for you Lisa - what an awful day for you to get through.
My heart goes out to you all {{{Hugs}}} across the miles.

RIP sweet Roxie - all our dear fur ones will be waiting to welcome you to the Bridge.

Don't feel too bad Lisa - I felt bad the day I sent Kisi to the Bridge - but it had to be done - we only do the best for these much loved fur kids.

    I'm so sorry.

Please let me reinforce your decision as a good one. They rely on us solely and this is what she needs right now.

I pray that your sorrow lasts only a short time and that soon you can remember only the blessing Roxie is.

Take care and know we're here if you need to "talk".

    I'm sorry about Roxie.

It has to be one of the hardest decisions to be made, but as animal caregivers, we have to do what is right for our pets. Roxie was so lucky to be in such a loving household and you were lucky to share your life with such a special soul.

Oh my goodness I didn't know you guys had a dog. I just had to put my geriatric foster dog to sleep last month. She was in about the same condition as your Roxie. You never really know if the day you chose is *right* and it is REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to go through with it. But when the shock and pain starts to dull, you will know in your heart that you did the kindest thing.

My prayers are with you, your husband, and Roxie. May she pass to the Rainbow Bridge peacefully.
