They do. I swear! They dig for 3 or 4 minutes down to the bottom of the litter box and get the hole just right. Then they poo somewhere else -- like on top of the mound they just created. I don't get it. But like someone else posted, maybe they are just marking the litter. They haven't figured out the reason they are digging.

Halo also does this outside. She'll go over to a patch of grass and dig for 3 or 4 minutes then walk away a few feet and poo and then leave. These cats are wacko!
