    Thanks everybody!!

    Liz, I have a Mahonia bush and the thing Bob has is an old dead stem where the flowers have been.

    Rachel and dukedogsmom, springer paw is a cute thing all springers do with one of their front paws.....difficult to explain.... Dog of the Day Aleen is doing it in one of her pics...

    and attached is a picture of a figurine I have that shows a springer holding a paw that way. I think other breeds may do a similar thing but I think Springers do it more, or in a different way, than others, enough to make it characteristic anyhow.

    I found a picture of Bob sitting using the `springer paw`! (It is not all that good but if you knew how hard it is to get a picture of him doing that...... )


    And he says, in reply to all the nice things you all said about him.....

    And Sara, Bob sends special slurpy kisses to you and tells me that next time I plan to post pictures of him I have to tell you first, or he is never going to pose for them again! Had to agree didn`t I?!
