What a scary incident!! Glad you were able to find that as soon as you did. I tell you what, whenever I see my babies chewing something (and I know there is no food in their bowls) I always investigate too. I'm so glad Bella is ok! I love the pics!! Bella is an absolute doll. She looks like a little princess!! Trevor is so cute! He's probably thinking, "Ok, I'm going to let you sit here, but only on my own terms..."

That is so scary!! When my pup was 6 or 7 months old, she tried to catch a wasp with her mouth, got stung, and her tongue swelled. She almost choked to death on it. I was able to get her to the vet in time, and she is fine now. But man, it scared me near to death. You really have to watch them.

Oh Pam, Bella is so adorable. She got SO big!! The photo is precious; and so is the caption Boy, as a puppy, Star gave me several near death experiences with what she could get into, and HOW QUICKLY!! No matter how hard you try to "child proof" your home, they find SOMETHING!! My biggest fear was always potential choking! I can really relate to all of your scary stories! I'm so glad Bella, and everyone, is OK!!!

Rachel, that's incredible! You must have REALLY needed your pills after that episode!

Felice swallowed a sewing needle and we never got it back. The vet said to feed her milk and bread and hope it came out. but I don't think it ever did. that was about 4 years ago and she is just fine.

I know how scared you were because I saw felice swallow the needle.

Last night we were out to dinner with some friends and were comparing puppy notes with another couple our age who have a cocker spaniel puppy. Of course the story of the push pin came up. My husband said "Pam gave Bella the Pamlich maneuver." (For those who don't get it, he was trying to be funny and coined a new technique from the Heimlich maneuver.)
