I live in Michigan.. we have two seasons here.. Construction and Winter. hahaha!! I kill me.

At the moment I live in Williamston. It's a town with one stoplight.

Williamston is located in Ingham County’s northeastern corner along M-43, about two miles north of I-96. This historic town is situated on the Red Cedar River, and contains many well-preserved turn-of-the-century buildings. It is currently a popular visiting place for antique lovers, with many unique and quaint shops and stores in the vicinity. A park and dam on the Red Cedar can be found north of the main intersction.

Williamston was first settled by Hiram and Joseph Putnam in 1834, who moved here from Jackson, Michigan. They sold their land to B. O. Williams in 1839, who came here from Batvia, New York. He built a dam, saw mill and later a grist mill here, eventually platting the land in 1845, naming it after him. It was incorporated as a village in 1871, and later as a city in 1944.

It's also home to an Antique Market.

These are old pics as they are just now finishing construction on downtown.

I grew up in Eaton Rapids. It has THREE stoplights!

Eaton Rapids is situated at the junction of M-99 and M-50 in southeastern Eaton County. It has a diverse economy, chiefly supported by manufacturing, including packaging material, food processing, and industrial parts. This picturesque city located on the Grand River was named for both the river rapids and the county which had been named after John Eaton, Andrew Jackson’s Secretary of War. A major attraction is the historical Island Park built at the turn of the century, featuring an old stone bridge, several statues and memorials, with picnic area.

Like many other towns in Eaton County, Eaton Rapids was first settled by people from Ohio, including Amos and Pierpont Spicer, who platted the village in 1838, and Benjamin Knight, who became the first postmaster that same year. The town began because of significant interest in the crop of timber in the area, with a sawmill marking the start of a community. It eventually was incorporated as a village in 1871, and as a city a decade later.

Eatons Rapids tag line is "The only Eaton Rapids on Earth." Which is true. Check out your local Atlas. The city of Eaton Rapids is also an island. You'll always cross a bridge to get downtown.

In the midst of the Grand River is the Island Park.

I live in the village of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Menomonee Falls is one of the largest villages in the nation and the largest village in Wisconsin. Established in 1842. There are around 30,000 people in Menomonee Falls- 29,000 of them are elderly....LOL.....I'm just kidding. Here is the website for Menomonee Falls: Village Profile: Menomonee Falls

Neat fact: Our school district is the number one school district in Wisconsin based on major test scores, graduation percentages, etc!! Pretty cool!

I live in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Kelowna (Kell-oh-nuh) means "Grizzly bear" in native. It is the largest city in the interior of BC, and the third largest in BC. People like to come here for the wine LOL. Kelowna has tons of wineries and many of the wineries have won awards. Also, Ogopogo, the "monster" of the lake ( who oddly hasn't been seen since all the hightech cameras came out -- wonder if he just doesn't want to be seen?? (thought maybe to have been a plieosaur, but most often pictured as a serpent).). TONS of people come here to ski and snowboard at Big White or Crystal Mountian. Kelowna is home to 100,000 people at the moment, but is soon joining up with Westbank and Winfield (Lake Country) and we will have a good 143,000 people. It is a fairly big city, at 228.4 sq km (that is pretty big since Vancouver City (not metro area) is 113 sq km). Our bridge is the longest floating bridge in the world, almost a mile long. It is only one of, I believe, 9 floating bridges in the world, and I think there is only one other in Canada. We will have another one soon. I'm so happy to live in such a beautiful place. Now don't you all want to come here???

I live in the middle of two towns Lake Placid and Sebring Florida. I'm 19 miles from one and 18 miles from the other.

This is the lake I live on called Lake Istokpoga. Those fields are caladiums, Lake Placid grows 90% of the worlds caladiums.

Lake Placid is also known as the town of murals, there are painted every where. You can't go a block without seeing one. This one is one of my favorite ones

We also have Highlands state park, about 9000 acers. I love this walk at the park.

We also are known for "The 12 hours of Sebring race". When that come around our little town, I stay out of town if I can, small city goes wild. It's get so loud I can hear it in my yard.

There's really not that much around here we have somewhere around 74 lakes, the old down town circle, Many 1900's historical homes. Lots of cows and orange trees. Just a small country town with nothing to do but enjoy the peace. (and fish if your into that ) Oh we did get a mall a couple of years ago....so we are growing. LOL

I don't live anywhere cool like you all, but here's a little about my city. Modesto used to be a little farming community, we were known as a bunch of hicks. hehe. But then, housing prices skyrocketed in the bay area (San Fransisco, Oakland, etc...), so everyone started moving here. We have alot of commuters here and this city now has almost 200,000 people here. One of my most favorite things about this city is that it is centrally located to all kinds of cool places. I'm an hour from San Fransisco, two from Santa Cruz, three from Lake Tahoe, an hour from the snow, and hour from Sacramento, a few hours from Yosemite National park, etc... It is hot and dry here in the summer and the winters are fairly mild. We do not get snow here. Here are a few pictures:

This is the Mchenry Mansion. It still stands in Modesto and it is even more beautiful then before. Of course, now it is in the middle of town. This is where I got married. It was only $500 to rent the entire place for the day!

George Lucas is from Modesto. The movie American Graffiti was filmed here. We have Graffiti Night every year and thousands of old classic cars cruise. These pictures are the set of a movie American Grace that was filmed here this August. This is our downtown.

Just a cute Modestan at the shelter. hehe..
