Very good pics! I just love the first one. So cute. Aren't these digital cameras great? I'm sure addicted!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Your so lucky to get a new camera! Great clear shots and love the insect pictures. I would love to be able to afford a new camera.

    Fantastic pics!
I love Lily's "this is my spot". Filou says the same before firing some coloured froggies in the tub.

And Toby on the sandals: The interior of shoes is also widely appreciated here

Wow! Great pictures! I'm glad you like the camera because that's the one I've got. I've always considered you one of the better picture takers here on PT - along with several others - and if you, a "professional" picture taker (in my opinion), like the camera, that greatly justifies my choice. My brother has the S320 is it, or S230 (?) which is the same camera but only 3 pixels (I think) and I was so impressed with that one that I just had to have the S400. I love it also, and really think it's a great camera and takes fantastic pictures.

However, I guess I there's a lot for me to learn. I've taken some pretty good pictures so far, but none that are anywhere near the quality of those on your website. I took a fantastic sunset picture this weekend that I'll have to post, but it's on my laptop which I don't have with me at the time.

Have you taken any videos with it yet?

Thank you for the kind words You did make a good choice when you got the s400, no doubt. Just flip through the manual .. I did that the night I got it and it did help a great deal. I always take my pictures using manual settings, so I can control exposure, shutter speed, white balance, and what not. Practice makes perfect, so keep it up ..it will only get even more fun!

I haven't used the video setting yet no, I use my dv cam for video so I really have no need for it .. although it may come in handy sometime You should post that sunset pic ... I would love to see!

Great photos! Looks like a great camera!

I have a Canon Powershot A200, and I'm also very happy with the results, especially with the close ups. Landscapes don't turn out too well, wonder how you're experiences are with the A400?

Ask and you shall receive. This is on Lake Emily near a small town just outside of Stevens Point, WI. We were in the woods, but the sky was so incredible I just had to go down to the lake and get some pics. These are the best two.

And I find the video feature is quite handy on an impromtu basis. If you're just hanging out or something and want to catch a quick video. I agree that a dv cam would be better for full blown videos, but it's nice to have the video feature on hand anytime you need it - as long as you have the camera along that is.

Your pictures are awesome! The bee picture reminded me of one I took earlier this summer - I wanted to attract hummingbirds and butterflies but for a while, the bumble bees were all that came

T&P Mom - that sunset is spectacular! I don't get great results with my digital in low or subdued light...but I still drag out the 35mm now and then.

And the butterflies eventually did come

    as did the hummingbirds

    It is addicting, isn't it?

    Wonderful pictures!

Love the colors in your photos, tuxluvr!

And T&P's Mom: These are some awesome sunsets!

I looove the things you can do with digi cams! A couple of months ago, I was a bit experimenting and playing with mine and made some silly self portraits:

LOL, luckily, you don't see much of me which was my intense!
And sorry for the low resolution, but I don't have much web space left (photos from www.entre2tierras.de.vu)
