It would sure be terrible if he bit one of those babies. I was reading in "Good Owners, Great Dogs" (I think that's where I read it) that if they do that, the owner should hand feed every single bite to them, and he has to sit and behave for it. The dog doesn't get a single bite of food unless it's being fed to him by a human. This should go on for at least several days. That lets him know on no uncertain terms who's alpha. Then they should proceed to have other people hand feed him. Then he should be allowed to eat out of the bowl, with somebody sitting very close to him and moving around and if he growls the food gets taken away.
I'm sure the owners can take care of this problem if they're very aggressive about it, but until then those dogs should be fed well away from the babies!
