Oops! Sorry for the mistaken identity Kelly.

A Reiki practitioner does wonders! Before I had my hysterectomy 5 years ago, a Reiki practitioner came in and put headphones on me with wonderful relaxing sounds. She then performed some kind of massage/touch therapy to relax me before the surgery. I was actually able to wear the headphones in surgery! I wish I could afford to go back to Reiki but I don't know of anyone here in Michigan that does it. It gets rid of stress too!!

    Kelly,

Here's a couple of links to help you with the Stomatitis.

It says that it also can occur in children between the ages of 1-3. My daughter had something similar to it called "Thrush Mouth" when she was an infant. It's caused from milk creating bacteria in the mouth after drinking it. I was told by my pediatrician to rinse her mouth out after every meal. It also caused little white bumps to appear on the roof and sides of her mouth.

    Good luck!!!

    Thanks so much Donna!

Reiki sounds so neat! I'd love to check that out for myself. Thanks for the information on that.

I'll go check those links out now, thank you.

Hi! Here's an interesting link to Reiki where some basics are explained...it's a hand-on-healing technique and one of the benefits is that it relieves stress very much...the hands get quite warm and you feel relaxed pretty soon...my Nellie just loves it when she doesn't feel alright, then she would lie down for hours getting Reiki...

I'm not sure whether it's all true or not, but I find all that stuff fascinating. I'd love to have someone help me understand the boys better!
I hope Micah is feeling better soon.

I enjoyed hearing about your vet visit yesterday afternoon! Sounds like a very interesting experience, but a little strange too. I would say as long as Micah is feeling good and looking good with his new diet, I would stick with that for the time-being. After hearing about it though, it almost doesn't seem like he told you anything you already didn't know. But, I guess we'll see what happens! Do let us know know Micah is doing! What a little sweetie head he is!

I have a friend who is a Reiki Master. I find all of that sort of stuff really fascinating too!

I've been trained in Reiki to level 2, but rather gotten away from practicing it. (Politics at the center where I was trained took a lot of the joy out of it for me, long very dull story.) But it feels great. Do give it a try. Most people I know love it.

Cassy tolerates it, haven't tried Livvy with it yet.
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)
