Are you offended if people use your name?

Nobody calls me by my real name, but I think that I would like it if ppl did. Just like Liana said, it makes the people feel more like your friends. It doesn't really matter what you call me, I like being called Dogz and Emma.

I could careless if anyone knew my name or called me "Kfamr". I don't expect for everyone to remember it even though it is right there in my signature.

I'm not the best at remembering names (although i could remember the lyrics to a whole CD. )

I like it, as Jordan and Liana said, it makes it feel more friendly, but it really doesn't matter to me.

However, I think it can get confusing in some posts. For example, if I were to post in a thread as "Twisterdog", and later in the thread someone were to say, "I agree with what Shanna said.", people might be thinking, "Shanna? Who the heck is Shanna?"

Some days I can barely remember the names of my customers, let alone lots of people with different user names on a message board.

I would prefer people to use my name. Thats one of the resons I sign it after every post and normally tell people to call me Ash or Ashley.

I'd much prefer people use my "real" name, although "tats" is really part of my last name and what many friends call me by anyway. I'd like to use other's first names, too, but many don't use their name after their posts, or only occasionally, so I sometimes don't what it is!

Hmmm, my paranoid level is a lot higher than the rest of yours...

I had a nut track me down a few years back and it scared me -- I am uncomfortable when people use my real name here. In face to face meetings it's one thing...

I did redo my website to cut down personal info. Had had NO idea how easy it was to track down some info. When I picked up the phone at work and this stranger who'd been asking me technical web related questions via email was there and I hadn't given him my number (and later my home and then it got weirder...) Ick.

So I feel safer if people here know me as AmberLee.
