he is also getting a bernese because they are gentle and
hUGE!!! he wants a big dog, he has had them all his life, he saw this breed and fell in love. He will be taking this dog EVERYWHERE with him, hunting, fishing, camping, travelling, everywhere. I just used hunting as an example. and He will be helping the dog drag the kill, hes not just going to force it to drag it by its self. lol thats kinda mean.

Hold on a second..... Your dad can pay a breeder thousands of dollars for a dog, But not for a small animal's surgery??

yes because we are getting it in about a year or twe, and by then we will have settled with ICBC. My mom got in a car crash and brock her pelvis. We are now settling for money. and we havent yet settled, if we havent by then, then we wont get the dog. We are settling this summer. I just dont know when.

I'm not sure what "ICBC" is but whatever it is it must be nice to be able to get a large breed dog and be able to care for it, when just a year ago you wouldn't have been able to pay for the surgery of a rat. My dad is on disability and we still don't really have enough money, we still got Nala though. We get a check every month now, and it barely gets us through. Every cent I get goes to the care of Simba and Nala.

So, wait....if you get the money, you will get the dog, if you dont, then you wont get the dog. So, even if you do get the dog, will you be able to afford vet care, food, groming, etc..? I know a few friend with Berners. There great dogs, but require a lot of care.

I am entitled to my opinion as everyone else is, I don't agree with the reasoning behind him getting this particular dog. IMO
But like I already told you, this isn't the only reason. I use Timber to help scare away thieves. But it isn't the only reason that I have her. I have her because she's a great dog, she's my friend, I have fun with her, she's good to take for runs, I love her, she's beautiful. Just like Jynnelle's dad is getting this dog, for many different reasons.

I'm not sure what "ICBC" is
ICBC is the public auto insurance company of British Columbia.

if you get the money, you will get the dog, if you dont, then you wont get the dog. So, even if you do get the dog, will you be able to afford vet care, food, groming, etc..? I know a few friend with Berners. There great dogs, but require a lot of care.
Yes ICBC is constantly confusing people with money intakes and outtakes. I'm not really sure how it works though. But once a claim is settled, you get your money.
    I've been BOO'd!

I dont take my dogs to the groomers, We groom them our selves. My mom shaves oscar her self and I brush Tikeya. It isnt that bad!! And yes If we get the money we will get the dog, if we dont then we wont! what about that dont you understand!!!! If we get the dog we will afford vet care, as we can right now for the dogs we have, we just couldent afford to take a rat in for a HUGE expensiver surgery!!!

hmmmm there is a big difference b/n $100-150
I took Keegan to the vet about a month ago and her bill came to about $115
I took Kylie to the vet on Wed and it was about $40
so I have spent $150+ on them in the last month plus food/treats and litter and toys.
    etc

    hmmmmmmmmm sumpin doesn't make sense

What if Tikeya, Oscar or any of your current pets needed something costly right at this moment?
