    BoxyMama

I know nothing of either breed Re; the Boxer or the Pit, - as I have never owned one and never listen to gossip which is bad about any breed.
You were concerned about the lack of 'Pugness' ( if that can be a work for now)
In Australia, they are breeding the Australian Bulldog so as not have such 'Pugness'. As with the more pug the nose and face, the more breathing difficulties have become.............don't know if it is the same in Boxers..
The Australian Bulldog ( don't even know if it is a reg.Breed ) has less problems with skin irritations and breathing as it's counterpart, the British Bulldog.
Seeing the photo of the other person's ( sorry can't remember you name while writing this ) long nose Boxer, well I have to agree, it is very handsome also.
Maybe you have one of these? All big dogs have huge feet as pups!!! And, like you said, you will love it anyway.......those words mean a lot.

That is a lovely photo. What is the dog eating? It looks like a piece of fruit?
Someone told me that Boxers never grow up, they are pure puppy all their lives..........wouldn't that be nice?
Pugs are cute too....We had one when I was a kid, a black one.
    I love them all.

jackson has a tennis ball in his mouth lol.

i have also heard that boxers never grow up (jackson is an exception) he is a VERY mature 2 year old, but all the other boxers i know are a little crazy still one is 3 years old lol and still act like a young pup.

oh i would love a dog that never grew up (maturity wise) it sure would make life more entertaining maybe i need a boxer lol

    Yeah, She's a Pit

I own a Pit Bull, and have been researching pit bull/boxer mix's trying to decide if I should breed her with a boxer. There's an actual breed called Bull Boxer that was made an official breed in 1990 in the UK, and it's a combination of boxer and another bull breed usually pit bull or am-staff, and all the pictured of bull boxer's that I've seen, look just like your sweety pie. You can definately see the boxer in her body and ears, but the pit is all over her face. Don't fret though, pit bulls are made mean, not born mean.

All I see is boxer. I don't know a lot about Boxer comformation, but I've seen a lot of rangy looking Boxers. Pit bulls can be very rangy in their appearance also. They all generally look the same, but some can be short and stocky, some leggy, some have shorter noses and others have longer skinnier noses.

    Bullygirl,

With so many unwanted pets, purebred and mixed breed, young and old, dying in shelters by the millions every year in this country alone, why would you want to create more? A Bullboxer is just a mutt no matter what name is given to it. Just like Cockerpoos who are gaining recognition with the CKC. You can mix a Poodle and Cocker and get Cockerpoos once, but what are their offspring going to be? Same with Bullboxers? They may be cute, but what is the point in mixing the two to create a mutt, when there are plenty of homeless mutts with uncertain fates, including Pit Bull/Boxer mixes. Pit Bulls have a bad name that make it really hard to place into GOOD homes. What are you going to do if she has a litter of 13 pups that she doesn't want to take care of? And if you can't find homes for all of them? What if the pups end up in shelters because the homes weren't really good? How will you register these pups? There are a lot of shelters in this country that will not adopt out Pit Bulls and Pit mixes no matter what. Please do more homework on breeding. For each one of the puppies you may sell or place an equal number of puppies or dogs will die in a shelter because no one wanted them. Breeding is done to better the breed, not make money or create mutts with uncertain health problems or temperament problems. While Pit Bulls and Boxers are great dogs they both have their short comings also and you never know what you are getting when you mix the two. Will they have the best of both breeds or will they inherit the worst of both breeds?

I'm sorry if I got on my soap box, but too many people are breeding and not taking it seriously enough. Please leave the breeding to the experts.

I agree with EVERYTHING Pit chic said.

There are sooo many dogs in the shelters, ESPECIALLY pit mixes.

I agree with this completely. There are TOO many dogs in the world and not enough owners. Bullygirl, take a trip to the local animal control or shelter, and watch the dogs be euthanized ... you'll change your mind about breeding.

I would say the dog in question is a purebred boxer. Some have longer noses than others. I board a purebred boxer that could be a twin of yours.
