My mate is Filipino and they eat tons of meat and fish. I remember the first time I went to meet his parents. They were cooking meat on a stick and then they brought out this whole fish cooked with the head still on it!!! It's eyes were all crossed and it's mouth wide open. It was VERY difficult explaining to them that I dopn't eat meat! But, I just couldn't stop staring at the fish face! ACCCCKKK!

The fish thing made me think of the phrase "beady eye vegetarian". I've been one of those a few times too. Only eat animals with beady eyes... LOL

Oh I could NEVER stop with the meat. I have nothing but total respect for those who don't eat meat. The idea has crossed my mind once or twice but I'm not a big veggie person (I know I know...I should eat my veggies). I love a few veggies..but for the majority of them....I tend not to like. I think it has alot to do with the way I was raised though (not to blame faces or anything). My brother, sister and I all don't like veggies. We'll like a select few...for me..my favourites are carrots, mushrooms, romane and a few others. My mom never said "eat all your veggies or no desert". So..we had the option and I guess none of us chose to eat veggies. Ack..I regret it now..but just like the way cattledogmom mentioned feeling sick after eating meat...I feel terribly sick after eating certain veggies...ack.

I have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). It sucks. TRUST ME!!!!!! My family has cut off from red meats ALOT since I have gottin it. I dont eat any red meat. I hate it, it is discusting. I cant stand the tast. I stck to turkey, I also hate chicken to YUK!!!! fish is raunchy, EXNAing shrimp ..
