    a double merle is a homozygous merle. Beautiful, but I don't support the breeding of them. It can be very dangerous to the dog's health. (also known as purple merle or white merle or lethal whites)

    Well I'm a little biased and have to go with the good old black but I think they look better if they have quite a bit of white on them. Other then that I guess the reds only because a friend of mine has two of them and they are handsome.

    yea, i didn't know there were so many colors! All i've seen is black/white, yellow/white and tricolor!

    black and white, and red merle, but brindle is not a true border collie colour the site says there are brindles however technicly they are either tri colour or sable, some people call them brindles to make more money, but there are really no TRUE brindle BCs
