Crystal, I would like to know who has found offensive/wrong your banner, that you felt it necessary to change it. Would you pm me that information?
    Thanks,

OH no no no!...for the record, no one has said anything...I was just saying I'm sorry if I did offend. I realize this is a pet forum, and what I had up may not have been appropriate.

If anyone wants to continue to talk about this topic, I suggest we do it in a PM. Maybe that will be better???

BTW, I have a Rainbow Kitty sticker on my bumper and no, I'm not gay.
I think that's cute my roommmate had one too and she's not gay. Last year she wanted someone to go to the Greek fair with her so I said I'd go if she went to Gay Pride with me. When she went she saw the rainbow kitty sticker and thought it was the cutest thing ever so she put it on her car.
    I've been Defrosted!

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

What rainbow kitty sticker? If I get one, will I have to become gay?

    Johanna,

I went to Cape Cod with some friends a couple years ago. We walked around Provincetown and happen to wander into this great shop. I noticed both rainbow cats and rainbow dog (Dog and cat shaped rainbow stickers) stickers and decided to buy one, not knowing what it stood for (or caring for that matter). I put it on the bumper of my car and it's been there ever since. It's my favorite sticker next to "I'm tired of stupid people" sticker . If you'd like, my friend is going to the Cape in a couple of weeks and I can have her pick one up for you. Let me know if you prefer a dog, cat or both!

    LOL...

I have heard of them, but I think it's an act for them...just to sell albums and make money.

    My daughter loves them, though.

I couldn't agree with this more Crystal. If anything ever happened to Mark, no other man could or would ever take his place
And thanks for the videos they were both very moving. I'd never heard Scarcrow, but had heard Silent Legacy before. I really love Mellissia Ethridge's music.

    Too right.

We fall in love with a person, not a gender.

No bother to me, though, life is about being like a tree....roots planted sturdy in the ground, but branches flexible too.

I realize that just because people have a rainbow doesn't mean they're displaying gay pride.

    Regards, Crystal
Exactly. There is no reason why a straight person can't support gay pride -after all, every individual will benefit from a more tolerant society. We should all stand up for the causes of the minority groups to which we belong, but even more importantly, those to which we don't belong. After all, we support animal rights and none of us are animals!

I don't want to invite vitriol (and I'm not asserting anything about any Pet Talkers), but I've noticed that most people who get offended by politcal slogans in general such as gay pride, anti-racist and animal rights slogans in the general populace are those who don't want to be faced with the reality of prejudice because they are too afraid to stand up to it.

Their greatest crime is silence. Sad, but true.

They are not lesbians. This is just a technique of their producer to market their music. Although, the attitude towards gays and lesbians changed a lot since then. I can't say people are very tolerant here, but sometimes, it gives me goosebumps when I hear stories from other countries (US mostly). No offence to Americans, please. Although people are very traditionalist here, I've never heard of cruel attitude towards other religion or other sexual affiliation.
I can also call myself bi-sexual, although I had one gf only, and more than one man It's really not about gender, it's about the person and you're lucky to find the person not everyday.
