I am sorry to hear that the squirrels have not yet returned, but I am sure that they are alright. They are probably off on some big adventure.
Chi Chi sounds as if he has found a great new home there as well. I love how he taps at the window, they are very smart, indeed.
I found Winchester clinging to the hotel room door shortly after hurricane Katrina. The poor fellow must have lost his home and family, who knows, but he sure was frightened.
He was only a month or so old when I found him.
I had no place to keep him on our road trip, so he ended up with Brimstone, the rabbit. I had put up a divider at first, but that soon came down and I found them getting along just fine; he had found his new mother. He use to sleep beneath her and ride along on her back. As cute as that was, I soon had to seperate them when he began to teethe.
He has since become quite the hooligan around the house... He loves to steal all sorts of shiny things and knaw on whatever he can find.
I have also learned some very valuable, or invaluable squirrel language as he has learned ours as well. He listens when you call him and goes right back into his cage when it is time, though sometimes he could use a little persuasion... my old trusty water pistol. He follows me around at my feet and climbs me as if I were a tree.
He has become quite the addition to the family and is loved very dearly.
