    Oh yea....Noel and Basie are my little anal kitties.

    I think Basie really likes the litter boxes, maybe because they are enclosed. He PLAYS in there!

    Felicia must be my alpha cat, she never covers anything. Beau covers his own and Felicia's.

    Not currently, but we did once have an OCD kitty. He would prepare the site, dig and dig and dig. He would then inspect the site, and if it wasn't perfect, he'd create a new site.

    yes, my younger kitty Fluffy does this..she will scratch and cover till no end....I have had someone tell me that having observed cats in wild colonies, it is instinctive that while in a vulnerable position, after they pee, they will cover it then move off to another location to finish their business. I have always had more than one box for one cat and have never had litter box issues. They do this type of behavior purely from instinct, so giving them two or even three boxes (if you have 2 cats) is a really plus for them.
