We're doing a home visit tonight to investigate neglect

We also do vet and 3 personal references, heh, that makes a lot of people mad. We don't expect them to have a vet though if they don't have animals.

Yup. We do the same. Haven't had any problems from anyone about the vet check yet. Some aren't fond of the home visit, though. I was more than happy for it when I adopted Miss Millie.

Oh talk about stress relief!! First pics of kitty piles in the cat section and now puppie piles! Just makes me want to melt!! That does it...when I retire I'm getting a dog, no butttts about it!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

LOL, K9Karen, love the way you spelled adorable!

Aly, they are soooo cute! I want a puppy! Never heard of a dapple Dachshund! My dad had a Dachshund when he was growing up, named Duchess! Thanks for sharing!
