Oh Candy! This is just too terrible. I'm so sorry for Blaze, you and your friends.
However, remember Duffy's story? He also had lymphoma.Just a couple of weeks ago I posted an update on him. After a year of chemo treatments he's completely free of it.
Would it be of any help if I asked Susan, Duffy's mom, what kind of chemo he had?
Lets hope than our collective prayers, plus modern veterinary medicine, also bring a cure for dear Blaze.
    My thoughts are with you.

My heart just dropped through the floor. This is devastating. My heart goes out to Blaze and his family and friends. Remember, miracles do happen and I am praying for one.

Which protocol are they using? Would the Navy protocol be helpful?
Yahoo has a wonderful canine cancer group. The persons on the bb have a world of knowledge, support and new treatments (natural and medical). http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CanineCancer/

Bandit is on Rutin (a very large amount) and diuretics for his rare lymphosarcoma. It is helping him. He should have died by now, but he is fighting and winning at the moment. He is not a candidate for chemo.

I will post Navy protocol as soon as I find it again.

    Here it is:

Thanks for the offer but I believe the Chemo is already started and they probably won't want to switch it now. I appreciate the encouraging story though and will reread it for more inspiration.

Thanks for all the info. I don't know what form of Chemo they are doing since Kathi and I can't get past two or three sentences in our conversations without bursting into tears. However I will forward the info you gave to her.

I will also tell her about Bandit's success. When he was diagnosed did they say how long he would live? They are giving Blaze 2 to 8 weeks with no treatment and it is uncertain with treatment.

Bandit would have been dead within a month if they hadn't discovered the cancer at the emergency vet. His chest was filling with fluid and the first vet gave him cough medicine.

    Candy,

I am so sorry to hear about the diagnosis for Blaze. That
certainly is a scary thing. Please remember Albea's story of
Duffy's recovery. I sure though he probably had no chance
but prayed for the best anyway. Also Bandit's come back
from his terrible illness. I will surely keep Blaze & Susan in
my thoughts and prayers for a full recovery also. Hugs from
    Liz & Moki.

    Any news about Blaze?
I know it's too early to see if he's responding to the chemo but, because I can't stop thinking about him, you and your friends, I thought I'd ask.
    Still praying for him.

I'm also thinking about Blaze and hoping that the Chemo will help him.

    Yep, me too.

I just can't seem to get him off my mind ever since you've told us the news. Please let us know how things are when you have the time.

Dixie I'm so sorry to hear the news about Blaze, I just can't believe it. They must be so sick over this after losing Jazz. I hope he responds to the Chemo and has some quality of life with the results. Please tell his family how sorry we all are and I know how terrible you must feel too.
