Good for your vet to check out other stuff. Now the baby boy doesn't have to go *under* a second time, although he may have a bit of a sore mouthy in addition to a sore.....well you know!
Pam, I know you are not going to be really relieved until the baby boy is back in your arms again and you can be giving him extra pampering. Tell the little fella we LOVES him.

    Ripley is fine!

I had to be out of the area for a couple of hours today and recently got home and checked in with the vet. My little cutie pie is just fine and can go home any time now. I think I'm going to wait until hubby gets home so I can hold my little boy in my lap for the drive home. Bella has been acting a little strangely today. When I returned home this morning without him she really did seem to notice. I also just noticed that her breakfast hasn't been eaten yet! I just said his name to her and her tail went straight up and she got that poised excited look on her face. Yep, this little guy is really one of us! Bella has claimed him as her own as we all have! I'll try and get a picture tonight and I forgot to ask if he will need a cone.

    On the mend

Ripley is doing just fine. Thank you everyone for your nice notes of concern. I was presented with a little tiny plastic bag with his baby teeth in it when I got there last night. It had his name and date on the outside. I should have put it under my pillow last night I guess. I was told not to feed him last night as he had the dry heaves a little yesterday. When we came home Big Sis Bella and Trevor and Andy all had to sniff him. He didn't seem to mind at all. I do think Bella realizes he has a BooBoo. Hopefully this and the rain, which is melting the snow and causing them both to sink in the yard, will keep his activity level relatively low. He seems to be fit as a fiddle and ate like his normal little piggie self today. He sends lots of wags to his fellow dog buddies and lots of slurpy kisses for being so nice and asking about him.

I am glad you are back home, Ripley! Pretty soon you will forget about the whole ordeal, and you can run and play just like you used to

What did the vet say about his age, now that he had obvious baby teeth? Did the vet give you a different guestimate of his age, since he still had the baby teeth? If so, then what age did the vet say?

What a sweety pie Bella is. What an absolute darling! I bet Ripley missed her just as much as she missed him. I am so glad that they are back together, and all is almost back to normal.

Pam, when you get a chance, I would love to see some new pics of the cutie, Ripley.

Dear Auntie Rachel ~ Ripley here! I am doin' just fine! The first night I came home I only wanted to rest in my mom's lap and even the next day I was a little like a toy whose battery is runnin' down. Then, Presto! I started to feel so much better. In fact my mom says I was feeling too much better and she was worried about me. My Big Sis Bella and I was runnin' all through the house and she put us on the "time out leash." She hooked Bella's leash to the basement door in the kitchen and my leash to the handle on the sliding glass door in the kitchen. We could look at each other but we couldn't reach each other. It was weird. After our punishment was over I behaved much better. She said I had to be careful of my 'snipped area.' Actually the White Coat man used glue to put me back together and not stitches. Once in a while I licked at my glued up area but my mom told me to leave it alone so I did. I likes to be a good boy. Anyways, I am fine and really do 'preciate you askin' about me. Tell your beautiful Hannah (**whistles**) and my friend Tucker Love that I says Hi.

Love, Ripley (aka, The Ripster, Ripper Man, Ripples, etc. )
