I am soooo upset!!!!

I have a friend who has STOLEN a cat under similar circumstances. He's a happy cat now living with her family and his new cat sister.

YYYYAAAAAHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO......YYYEEEEEPEEEEEEEEE. YES YES YES

My friend just called me to say that her friend spoke with her hubby and they have decided to take kitty. Oh my God I am crying with happiness as I write this. They are going to be getting such an adorable loveable and affectionate kitty. He followed me home today as I was coming home from work, soo he is in the porch all fed and happily asleep in his bed.Oh I can hardly see through these tears of mine. I will be leaving with him soon to bring him to his new home and they won't be letting him out. They have a female tabby, 1 1/2 years old named Sasha, so he will have a playmate also. Plus she said that she will be taking him to the vet tomorrow for his shots and a checkup. OH HAPPY DAY.
Gosh thank you all soo much for getting me through this, with your kind words and fantastic advice.
The best part is that she said I can come and visit him anytime I want. Looks like I found a lifetime friend.

Gotta go now and get kitty bundled up to bring him to his new home.

Here's an update on kitty. I took him to his new home earlier this evening. It's 12:45 a.m. right now here in Montreal, I just got in from a date with my hubby but I couldn't wait to tell you about this.
When I got kitty to his new home, his new owners put him in a spare room for now as they didn't want their cat to associate with him right away until they get the okay from the vets. They will be bringing him later this morn for a check-up and his shots.
His new owners names are Linda and Brian and they seem like real caring people. They fell in love with kitty right away. We stayed in the room with him for about an hour, just observing him to see what he would do, and they couldn't get over how affectionate he was with them. He is very friendly. I think the poor guy was just starving for affection cause when he was on the street he would go to anyone who paid attention to him.
Anyway, he seemed a little nervous at first but then seemed to settle down quit nicely. I left there feeling real comfortable with my decision.
Linda will call me later on to let me know how it went at the vets, and then I will let you guys know okay.

that is great news! I wonder if the previous owner will look for the kitty? that was a good thing you did! p;ease keep us updated on how is doing in his new home.

I completely agree with this too ! if you take pets , you must accept all the concequences too !! I can also get so when I see a poor cat outside waiting on a porch in the bitter cold ...

I too have stupid idiots who , once a cat is olderr, never let the cat in the house again. They throw a pan of the cheapest food , and never show any affection!They end up at the lost cats hotel , where there is shelter , a pet and some microwaved food , the poor things.I cannot stand to see an animal in need .

Got a call from Linda and so far it is good news . The vet said he seems very healthy. His abscess is healing up nicely but he put him on anti-biotics for safe measures. Had his shots and blood test taken to check for any nasty diseases. Linda will call monday for the results. Until she gets the results she will keep him seperated from her cat. She said he was such a good little kitty at the vets.
As for his previous so call owner, if she should happen to approach me in regards to where her cat is, I will just tell her that maybe he didn't like his old life and went to find a new one where he will be properly taken care of, and leave it at that.

Rosethecopycat, I would love for you guys to see a picture of him, but unfortunately I don't have a scanner right now, but plan on getting one in the near future. Then watch out!

Oh, I love that name Krazyaboutkatz, good one. I called Linda and she just L O V E S it too. So kitty is called Chance now, for his second chance in a new and I might add, better life.
