Gabe's friend?

Barbara, Gabe really does like the smell of beer. He won't drink it but he will lick the bottle and the tops. You will need to ask Robyn or Pam how this came about! He is from New Jersey, you know!

I am just shaking my head. Although we are from Bavaria here (place of the Oktoberfest) I never heard about that.

Also, I prefer the microbrews to the manufactured/mass produced beers. I am also QUITE fond of the beer bottle tops - so I sorta recycle the tops, if you will. The tops serve as covers to my beer and TOYS for me later in the YEAR!

I also think I am much better looking than the cat in the photo. And my Mom will not let me watch TV or have access to the remote control. She is like a prison warden around the house.

Yes, Gabe, that is much more how I envisioned you and your beer. And I have to agree, you are better looking than that cat. And don't be too hard on your mom, she is only trying to bring you up right, and it sounds like it's working quite well.

LOL, that is too funny As far as Gabe liking beer...my husband would have an occasional Yuengling and Gabe would always come over and sniff his bottle...you could be in the complete opposite end of the house and if he heard a beer cap pop off its bottle...he would come running!! He never tasted it, really, he just likes the smell and likes to lick the top of the bottle...just as Sallyanne posted. He is quite the character


Yes, Gabe is a sensible drinker...he just smells it to get his fix

And he certainly loves to play with those tops...if i ever decide to vacuum behind my dresser (LOL!!) I will have to take a pic of the beer cap menagerie that Gabe worked on while he lived here
