Gina, No, catland's idea was not thorough enough. So, now I just let them inside so they can snoop all they want. If I rattle thier feed tray this usually brings them out anyway. The main reason why I have not presented pictures of my furkids on the net is that I do not know how to do it, also I had 3 of them euthanized last November because when I took them into the vets', it was found that they were carriers of FeLV. So, now I am going to wait before attempting to present pictures of them again. There is a picture of me holding Fawn in the Pet Talk archives somewhere.

(later); I found the picture, it is dated 10/26/02, if you care to view it.

Oh My God, Waine! How can you say you don' know how to post pictures of your sweet kitties!
So, you deprave us seeing your kitties just because you don't know how to do it?!
    Kidding
    It's very simple.
    1. If you have them scanned as jpg or tif or other type of file, you hit the Browse button under your message and it attaches the file. It has to be less than 60 000 bytes.
    2. You can post your pictures on a website that allows posting here (one of them is www.ImageStation.com, a lot of Pet Talk members have accounts there. I have too.). This way, the picture will be posted in the message body. There is a thread (Phread's, I think), where it's explained how to post the images. You can pm me, if you need to find out how exactly it works.

    an idea...

before you go into the room announce, quite loudly-

i am going into the room,
    i will be doing ------------,
i will open the door in -- minutes

it worked for me....now the cat sits outside the door until i open
it, he then proceeds to run thru the house, like a maniac, knocking stuff over.....

the animal learned the lesson well..

i don't close the door anymore
