WHAT? You have FOUR CATS NOW? OMG!!!! That is soooo cool!!! I am so excited for Olivia and Basie, and Noah and Noel! I hope they all get along! I know Baby Basie won't be a problem...cause he is young and bratty (oops, did I really say that about him?) . I didn't even know you guys were really looking..and you are getting so close to my number, I think I need to go get another!
Congrats, and keep us posted on the introductions.

eeep! This is the exact response we are afraid of! That's why we are ONLY telling Pet Talk and my best friend (fellow crazy cat lady).

I just checked on Olivia, she is doing great! David had to lay a pillow accross the bottom of the door last night, with Noah and Basil guarding her door, she was pushing up against it hard.
She was so happy to see me, she crawled out from her hole and ran to greet me. She's too funny, after about 5 minutes of petting and chatting, she goes back in her hole. When she see's I'm still there, she'll come out again. This repeats the entire time!

I brought Basil in to meet her and they happily sniffed at each other. Noah seems really interested too, not threatened! Yay! Noel finally realized there was something going on in the closet and treid to get her paws in there to check it out.

Thanks for your sweet works on Olivia. She's doing great so far.
    ...RIP, our sweet Gini...

Oh, Oh! My black cat, Chester is smitten with Olivia!!! She is a beauty all right. If she ever needs an escort, Chester is volunteering for the job. By the way, four cats are purr-fect. They all have someone to keep them company when you are busy.

Congratulations Kelly! She's a beautiful, curious, lucky girl - four is a great number. Hope she settles well with your other furbabies

Marvelous news, I'm SOOO excited for you.

What a wonderful Christmas present you have given each other!

Four cats sound a great number to me Kelly. I'm still trying to persuade Don that one more would be soooooo welcome here!!

I have a question......Didn't SOMEONE, namely NoahsMommy, recently say "three is my limit, I can't have any more cats?" Please refer to the following selected paragraph from "our first day at the shelter" thread:

This is the EXACT reason that I don't feel I need to take them home. I've told myself that I'm preparing them for their destined owner...that and I have two cat hating cats at home...Basil, however, loves other cats. I mean...no he doesn't.

So how do you explain Olivia????HUH???HUH????

you do know that I am only pulling your leg.......I think it is wonderful that there are WEAK people in this world who don't know when to stop....hee hee

What's the matter Jen, is she starting to sound like you, always room for one more?

Congrats on the new addition Noah's Mommy! How could you resist a face as sweet as that!
I hope the other cats get along with her and then you will have to post lots and lots more photos of your 4 cats!
(now you will have to add the name Olivia to your avatar too.)
    RIP sweet Samantha

hee hee....see? This is what I had been telling myself BECAUSE of Olivia... I was already a sucker back then!

This time I know she is our limit. School is starting back up again and we are moving...that, and I'm afraid to tell anyone becides you guys that we have four now. AND we live in a two bedroom apartment. (This is what I'll be rehersing in my mind next Saturday....no, really, Olivia was really hard to convince David with...he kept saying three was enough.)

She had her first introduction with Noah. She really doesn't like being cooped up in her room...I really can tell. So, she and I hung out in the bathroom while David vacumed her room. She loved sitting on the toilet, playing with a beaded necklace. (she's so cute! ) I put her back in her room/closet and watched her with the door open and she decided she wanted to check out the other rooms in the house. She quickly found the window cat seat and stared outside for a few minutes when Noah discovered her. There was a little hissing, but they are fine....time, it takes time.

What a lovely, lovely kitty!!!! I used to think tabbies were my favorites, but all these blackies and tuxes on here have me thinking differently. I'm with Jen - I like to hear about "weak-willed" cat lovers (hee hee). There can't be TOO much difference between having 3 and having 4..........you won't even notice those few extra dollars missing each month...... , and you'll get a nice return on your investment anyway.
