Luckies-

I think my Mr. Jones may have been fixed late. He was a stray. He doesn't spray and his jowls are normal. I think their jowls go down after they get snipped. But I'm still confused about the teeth filing.
Not all spray, but most do. Even females spray. Neutering/spaying is not always going to stop or prevent a cat from spraying but most cats who are altered at a late age have already started marking their territory. My cat Blacky, who was altered at a very young age (8 weeks) has sprayed all his life! He once sprayed my Holland Lop right in the eye, naughty boy. Ickeris, my female cat also sprays but very seldom.

As for the teeth filing, these Toms are not neutered. Our local feral rescue is short on money this year but hopefully at the next clinic they can all get in to be altered. Like I said, I am not sure exactly what it is. But for some reason their teeth get huge, probably because they need to protect themselves and their teeth helps them do that. And whenI said "grow into the lip" I actually meant that they just poke the lip and can sometimes cut it etc. I didn't mean to make it sound harsher than it is, lol.

But again, I am still confused why he calls his cat ugly, as everyone has pointed out we all think he's beautiful!
