Oh! Oh! Oh! Thanks for the tip Delidog. I just visited the thread about Louie and posted over there!!! I am just in love with this little one! He is the spitting image of my Pumpkin (RB) who I was able to share my life with for 17 years. This little guy would be a good fit in anybody's Big Bed. If he was closer he would be sleeping in mine for sure, right next to his Big Sis Bella!!

Draker sleeps in the big bed too!! When Andrew is in town, he sleeps in between us and moves to the foot of the bed eventually. When it's just Draker and I, He sleeps right next to me with his head on his pillow. I too have to get to the bed first, coz if he beats me to it, there is no way I can make him budge!

I knew that most of you would be answering with "the big bed, of course" and I was a bit embarrassed to tell you that my dogs never sleep with me. They used to sleep with Helen sometime at our other house, but only Lilly has spent one night upstairs, in Helen's room, since we moved. For the last two weeks, they have slept on their beds, on the floor, beside my bed (Murphy and Lilly, that is). Honey just started coming into my bedroom last weekend.

BUT.......last night was an exception. Lilly "asked" to get into my bed. She can't jump, so I helped her in and made sure she got on the other side, so there would be room for me. Then, as I was doing that, Miss Honey decided she wanted to sleep in the big bed too!! Mom ended up sleeping crossways tangled up with two big Golden Retrievers. And sweet Murphy slept on the floor. This morning, Helen came in my room and we were still all lounging on the bed! They stayed their all night. And Helen's only comment was, "Where is Scott going to fit, Mom?". LOL!!!! I don't know!! Better not encourage the dogs in the bed anymore, huh?

Our four sleep anywhere on the bed they can find room. I can't imagine they would sleep anywhere else. Max has to sleep under the covers and touch someone for safety and warmth. The other three want to be up there, but don't touch them. They don't like to be disturbed.

It really is very creative how they manage to stake out a spot without touching another dog, yet draping over, nudging, and/or pushing the humans right to the edge of the bed.

In the winter when it's cold - we refer to it as a four dog night. Who needs electric blankets and comforters when you have that much body heat together?

Smokey sleeps in bed with me. I was gonna try to get him to sleep on the floor but after a few nights I missed him. I must be crazy, I actually had room! And I must have confused the heck out of him. Bad mommy.
    Anyway -

But Yeah, in my bed with me. Usually cuddled up next to me w/ his head on my chest or legs. If it's too warm, he'll sleep on "his side" of the bed. If it's cold, he's under the covers as close to me as he can possibly get.

Funny you should ask this question...

My husband and I almost got divorced over this issue The dogs have always slept in our bed but since we've had the third dog, my husband doesn't want them in the bed anymore. So now, they each have a dog bed on the floor next to our bed. I miss them so much! Especially Fritz, that was our special cuddle time

I'm not even married yet, Tanya, so I'd better get on the straight and narrow, right away!!! Actually, as sweet as they are, I absolutely hate having my dogs in bed with me. It isn't that they do anything wrong, they are just too big!!! And when I get the husband added to the mix, plus one of two cats (whichever gets there first), I don't think there will be room!! I have 4 weeks to figure this one out!!!! Might need to get that bed raised up high again, like it used to be, and FAST!!! Then the dogs won't even attempt to get in there with me.

Kito has ALWAYS slept in our bed with us, at the foot usually, because he's so "independent" but usually in the early morning hours, he creeps up by the pillows and sleeps right next to either my husband or I--it's so cute.
Then we got Abby--she is so big, we HAVE to get in before her, because her favorite spot is on the pillows--but she has a doggie bed on the floor too, which she goes to and falls asleep, but usually sometime during the night, she creeps up too

Kia sleeps just about everywhere ranging from, the couch, her crate, the floor, her dog bed, and on my feet at the end of the bed.

But as soon as I get up to shower, she moves to the spot I warmed up JUST FOR HER.

When we first got Dakota, she slept in our bed with us. It was so cute to me because I often woke up to her wrapped over my head or right up against my face with hers. However, after about a month or two, we made it a rule that they were not aloud to sleep on the bed any more because, w/ Dakota being a dane, we knew she would get to big to have all three of us on the bed and we'd be the two that ended up getting kicked off. So, now the girls have their own big beds in the living room, a blanket on the floor in our room, and they usually still end up sleeping on our furniture in the living room. However, when Dad is on duty or in the field, I always seem to wake up to the two of them on our bed cuddled up to some part of me. Usually they seem to fight over who gets closest to my head, but I think it's whoever gets there for. Then, the other one settles to use my legs as pillows. It really doesn't bother me to have them steal spots in bed with me when dad isn't home as long as they know it's only when dad's not home. Actually, I really enjoy getting to spend that time cuddling with them!

Maddie sleeps on my bed on a pillow next to my head. If she's
sleeping on her back she has a tendency to kick me in the head
with her back feet trying to get more space. I won't move so
eventually she'll either move or just rest her back footies on my shoulder.

Murph either sleeps at the foot of the bed, or on the floor by the
door, or his all time favorite place to sleep is on one of my shirts,
if it didn't quite make it's way to the dirty clothes hamper and got
tossed on the floor. And if Oz is on the bed, sometimes Murph'll
go sleep in Oz's crate. The pineapple kitty bed is in there, that
none of the dogs can fit in, but Murph likes to rest his head on
    that.

Oz mostly still sleeps in his crate, but he's slept on the bed
from time to time. He just takes up quite a bit of space and he
likes to rest his head on my leg. I like to move around, when I'm
in bed, so this doesn't work out too well. I'm going to get him a
bed of his own for x-mas, so he can sleep on his own bed, on the
    floor next to me.

    Par...
