IHA's trainer is in trouble with the Ca Horse Racing Board.
He's had two horses where they have found elevated levels of carbon dioxide in their blood stream.
They suspect that the horses have been given Sodium Bicarb, water and sugar to keep them from building up lactic acid in the muscles -it's called milk shaking - the mixture is fed to the horse w/a rubber tube shoved down his stomach.
The board has recommended that he be immediately suspended but the trainer has asked that the penalty be postponed for 30 days, so he can run the horse in the Belmont.
