Much as I can appreciate and celebrate Moony's life, I must insert a descending note here.

We've all heard about owners abandoning cats, (or any pets) and I totally agree that this kind of action is horrible.

Cats, though...

I love my cat, Leela, and hope to see her here one day. But when she won't come inside, what can I do? If she insists on going out, even though it's raining and I keep telling her, "It's wet and you'll hate it," and she keeps putting paw and paw out ("I do NOT make bad choices, ever!!")...where am I?

Am I a terrible person for letting her go outside to certain dampness, or should I be a terrible person to scoop her up and prevent her from being free?

I suspect Moony's parents faced the same dilemma. He would NOT come inside, it was time to move, what can they do?

Don't condemn the parents of all abandoned cats. Sometimes cats abandon themselves.

Also, don't hate me for pointing out that sometimes the biggest difficulties in cats lives are put there by the cats themselves.
