Hey everybody! Just wanted to introduce myself and I thought this was an appropriate place since I have just adopted my first dog. I never had a dog growing up (I'm 24, by the way), but my husband's family always had dogs. They were up to 5 when we started dating 5 yrs ago, but are now back down to 3 due to two losses from old age in the past couple of years. Anyway, my husband and I just bought our first home, and we adopted a dog from an SPCA organization to enjoy our large backyard. Susie, our new doggie-daughter, is 1 yr old and has been in a foster home for 6 months. She is just an outside dog now, but we will house-break her so that she can be an inside/outside dog.
