Monte's Story is truly heartwarming! I'm so happy for you and Monte. Love at first sight - well, second.

JLB- I found them all, Jasper's (which I had read) is just a couple of pages back, right before Lucas'. They were great! BTW, I won't tell the others that Monte is your FAVE cat!

AAWWWW!!! I love stories like that. I know what you mean about kitty's favorite place is in your arms or on your lap. My Gigi is like that. She'll jump in your lap and demand to be pet, head bumpies and all...and she won't settle down to sleep unless you cradle her in your arms like a baby and cuddle her close. I love that. She's my angel baby...but sometimes she does that when I'm trying to get some work done or am typing on the computer, then I have an armful of kitty and can't get anything done because I hate to disturb her! Does she have me wrapped around her little paw or what?! Your Monte sounds like a sweetheart!

Aahh,I like his story, he sure choosed you. Even if you were not "listening" he insisted since he got the goal.Clever boy!

And white cats have an advantage you can see them in the dark.At the time I got my white cat I also got a solid black...and I liked to see both cuddling together... anyway, they were allowed to roam free during the day if they feel like (we were living in the country)and came inside for the night jumping on the windowsill of one the windows in the kitchem, here the windowsill is outside; well the poor black cat (Melic) could spent a while to be let inside.It was dark against dark and it was hard to see him waiting on the windowsill :rolleys: not for the white cat (Mite) he made a nice silhoutte against the dark of the night and could be notice rightaway, no long wait for him.

Anyway, how has him come with his mane? Monte in spanish means Hill.

well Monte's name came with him, but I usually like long names so he is now "The Count of Monte Crisco".
That is not a typo, Crisco is a white colored shortening used for baking, for those too young to have experience with this.

And I guess I could add the others to this thread, but I'd feel like I was cheating them of their day in the sun. How about if I post a note here when a new one comes out so you can go look for it?

White cats definitely know how to put on the charm. Like Andy and Monte, my Marius is my lapcat and love-bug...and he always wins over my guests when they come and visit. No one can resist his charm! I'm so glad that you finally gave in and listened to Monte while you were at the facility. He certainly did choose you and was bound and determined to make you notice! How sweet! What a great story!

My daughter got her dog when he showed up on her back door rug.. He came and refused to leave. I should post this story on the doggie sight and think I will, with picture (now that I know how) .. Botton line is, he chose THEM also.

What a wonderful and heartwarming story!! Oh Monte, I'm in love with you! I'm glad you were so persistant! All you had to do was get her attention long enough to look into her eyes! I don't blame you one bit Monte, if I was a kitty that is one person I would try really hard to go home with!
