Do you feel certain breeds are prevalent in different sections of the country?

I did a neighborhood survey ..My Cody, who used to be top dog on the block is a GR/YL mix. There is a pitbull, Finnish Spitz, Rottie, Pug, Dalmatian, Basset Hound, 2 teeny little mixes (?), GSD, 2 more mixes (big)..hmmmmm, oh, an Akita..and a Sheltie all within a 3 block radius. This intrusion, since Cody was 1st, does not make him happy at all!!!

Around here there are a huge amount of goldens and labs...and of the labs, yellow is the most popular color. There are a couple of rotties, an aussie (full), a smooth coat St. Bernard, a couple greyhounds and a couple German short hair pointers. Then of course there's my aussie mix and pugglet.

Most common dog around where I live is the golden though with yellow lab in 2nd.
