Beer - beef stew - bread - peanut butter taffy - the thought makes my stomach hurt!!

I'll ease into the day - with some muffins I brought and a cup of coffee.

Some nice stew, a mountain dew with ice and some catnip tea for us

Things are looking up...kind of. Im getting tired of nutrality and being in the negative is no fun either.

    I need some positive rays...

    Funny you mention positive vibes....

I was just browsing the political threads, and the following popped into my head:

It was a beautiful crisp fall day, the kids have been good all day, there's a pot of beef stew in the kitchen, fresh homemade bread and spice cake to go with it, A fire in the fireplace, and a dog on my hip, and my wife next to me on the couch.

Screwit, the rest just doesn't matter.
The one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind wasn't king, he was stoned for seeing light.

    Amen, Brother.

We have more to be thankful for than most.

We look on the horizon for the things we have at hand.

Ooh, I love cider. This time of year, every year, I am grateful that I am not allergic to apples yet! There's a big something to be thankful for!

And I *will* take some of that beef stew, thank you, as Thursdays is the only place I can have it. Yummy potatoes and carrots and beef ...

That's one thing that has amazed me about the last month or so....

People on the tube are talking about what they have lost in this economic crunch and not one of them has said, "Hey, I lost somethings in my life, but I still have my family, pets, love, etc."

If anything we can maybe use this as a warning not to put material before 'substance' in our lives? Grab a bowl and a spoon!

    CM,
    How's about a double?

    DONE!

    Karen,

One year I want to go where the cider is fresh, the leaves are orange and the syrup is maple!

One cider, a bowl and a spoon!

    DONE!

    LOL,
    Stew ain't stew without TATERS!!!

Store bought stew? Man, that stuff should be banned!

It's easy to make, not really expensive, either.

Cider....hmm, knew I forgot something on the shopping list.

BRRRRR!!!! It's really chilly in Allentown right now! 38 degrees!!! We were in the upper 70s all week!

I'll take some home made stew (no store bought stuff, please), some warm and crusty bread to soak up the broth/stew part, and some warm cider.

    Thanks!

PS... I'm going to make some homemade chicken noodle soup tomorrow, anybody want some?

I wish I could cook some, right now all I have at my disposal for cooking facilities is a mini fridge and a microwave. Anyone know how to make a microwave stew?

As long as Im at the cyber bar, I can enjoy the real stuff though.
