any kind of Tidy Cat Clumping-Fresh Step-EverClean-Arm and Hammer-Special Kitty Clumping.
Anything I can get my hands on!
I used to keep it in a small tote out in my entry way and put a couple of scoops in every time I scooped. At one point I had about 80+ pounds of litter in a small tote.
One of my favorites is Tidy Cat Small Spaces. Its a bit pricier and harder to find but it works well for my small house.
I bought the Big Fresh Step automatic Cleaner when I was off with my broken foot last year thinking it would be easier since I was in a wheelchair. But the cats were terrified of it. I sprinkled baking soda over it and it would only cycle thru if the cat jumped in and out (motion sensored) and the baking soda remained unchanged for over a month.
So I emptied it out and boxed it up and took it back and got a full refund at PetCo. So I've given up the novelty of automatic litter boxes!!

When budget allow it's Arm & Hammer. Either Mulit cat or Odor Alert. When budget DOESN't allow, what ever's available at either Dollar General or Family Dollar.

The Arm & Hammer powder really helps. I shake some into the bottom of
the litter pan & cover it with Fresh Step litter. I have 5 inside cats & it does
    a pretty good job.

I use Tidy Cats clumping litter. And I also swear by the Arm & Hammer powder stuff, it's the BEST!! I have hooded boxes but I also have a plug in air freshner right behind Taz's box that I can control the level on. I don't have one near Paizly's since her's is in her room and not out in the main area of the house. But I do have one for when she moves out into the world someday.
I can tell when the oil gets low in the plug in because you can start to smell the box.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
