You've got a point there. I guess I was just thinking that she needs to see the pain that she caused and that she needed to be the one who rectifies it. But you're right, if I were the victim, I wouldn't want her anywhere near me.

I edited my post. Staci, didn't mean to pi$$ you off or offend anyone. I forget that someday I'LL be 81. I'm glad the lady is okay and hope they throw the book at that kid for her smugness and disrespect.

I'm shooting for triple digits, as long as I'm capable. I'm not old by any stretch but when I turned 60, it made me realize just how quickly those years flew by. If I blink, I'll be 80. My Dad lived to age 88 and he died in his sleep. I'm thinkin' I was born into the lucky gene club. No matter what age, though, it's important to take care of ourselves so that something like this doesn't happen to us. I would love to have read that the 81 year old woman jumped out of the car and kicked that snot's behind. This story made me decide to get back into kickboxing and I just bought a new bike today. Of course, it's raining and I can't ride it but I will!
    Blessings,
    Mary

The older lady who was injured had surgery this morning. No word yet
on how she is doing. One thing is certain, she will be dealing with her
injuries for a long, long time. It's just so senseless.

Yes, and it's sometimes difficult for older people to heal, especially if they're bedridden for a while. Violence is glorified; all we need to do is watch You Tube. Kids are beating up each other on a daily basis, it seems. No wonder they move on to the defenseless because they won't fight back.

yes - Donna- I hope you make it past 81!
Don't get me wrong, I've seen lots of accidents in my 10 year career that have involved older people that shouldn't be driving. BUT I've also seen 16, 20,30,40,50,60,70 year olds that shouldn't be driving either!

I hope this lady's body heals quickly. It will probably take longer for her mind. I can only imagine what she's going through.

Regarding age ~ Bobcat will turn 80 this summer. He just had his 3rd hip replacement surgery. He was only in the hospital ONE night and he was well enough to leave. 2 weeks after surgery, he's driving himself around to his own doctor appointments. I pray that I will be as healthy has he when I get to be his age.
Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.

What a skank! Karma's a b***h! I hope hers comes swift and hard. Too bad there weren't witnesses there sooner to put a serious hurting on this horrible excuse of a human. Maybe she'll get it in jail.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams

I think she should be in a prison's mental facility for a complete assessment. This woman is a menace to everybody if she can jump on an 81 yr old and beat her that way. Glad the kids were removed, didn't realize she had kids with her. She shouldn't be allowed the kids back in my opinion, they will learn from her behavior and become just like her. And you can be sure those kids get their beatings daily. I see so many kids getting roughed up these days because the parents take their problems out on them. Like Medussa I hope they don't turn this into a poor woman had such a rough past...everybody has skeletons in their closets....the past is past, grow up, stop whining and move forward.
I can just see it now, poor woman felt stressed due to her horrific past. Tough if she can't move on and grow up she should be put where she can't hurt people.
On the other side of the coin I have to agree how well this 81 yr old looked. I hope I can look as good if I reach that age, and yes, I'm hoping to be driving too for the 3 digit number.

HOLY COW. Though I am totally agianst what this so called woman/child did I do not agree with what you have said about peoples pasts. Your comments about growing up and getting over a horrific past are just uncalled for. There is no excuse for what she did. I totally agree. But some people do come from a horrific past and saying to just grow up and get over it is just plain insulting and shows you know nothing about tramatic events in peoples lives.

I now suffer from agrophobia and Post Tramatic Stress Disorder from a horrific past. Does saying I should grow up and just get over it fix it? NO. I live everday with the flash backs, the terrors of the past. I suffer greatly from past events that I had no control over. Would that give me the right to attack someone like this person did? NO but as her actions had no right to happen neither do your comments about people who have truely suffered and lived through it. You need to really read over what you type before you post it. I am truely offened by what you just posted as would anyone who has suffered a tramatic event. Not all people can just "grow up and get over things" as you would say. It is not that simple.

I think a fair way to put it MIGHT be that any adult who has had a terrifying past is responsible for getting help when they are an adult, and not use the past as an excuse. Only they as an adult can get the help now and change.

Which, Nicole, I believe you are doing. I hope this 19-year-old does the same thing.

She can't blame anyone else, past of present, for this - it is HER job to fix herself, with any help that is needed.

Thanks Catty and I agree. But telling somoeone they are responsible for getting their own helped to deal with past terrors or so on and telling someone to grow up and get over it are too totally different things. Like I said though just because someone has a horrendous past does not give them the right to commit an illegal act. But saying to anyone who has come from a horendous past that they should just grow up and deal with it is also not right. I wish it was that easy but for many it is an everyday strugle when they have suffered from inexcusable acts when they were younger.
