that's terrible. i remember when i went to elementary, our bus stop was facing some guy's yard and i used to play with the dog through the fence. all the kids at the stop did. no one ever hurt him. i think it's this new generation of young kids. makes me angry.

There are some brats in this world. Can you believe that in one year I will be teaching them?

hehehe, good luck with them. although some are brats, there are a good amount of them that are real sweethearts.

For instance, muslims are not supposed to touch dogs and cats since they are regarded as being not clean (correct me here if I'm wrong). It has nothing to do with the animals itself, just that they have to go through some cleaning rituals.

And hindustans are also not supposed to touch animals (except the cow) who are again regarded as being not clean.

There are many world religions as well as sects who have restrictions in that area. Not much you can do as to respect it.

But: hurting animals is something that is originally in no religion allowed!

    Sorry

My information wasn't correct as I read now. Sorry. This is what I learned in school when we had world religion.

It may not be refereed to as a religion eitheri Understand that the majority of this group are very nice people. And yes I believe that animals are considered unclean. They also don't eat with others or share eating dishes with someone other than their faith. Its not something I can find any info. on via the internet either (they don't believe in the use of computers, T.V. or radios except for news - the children use computers in school as they are required). So you can see that not too many ways to socialize except for the "Hell'o" on the street

so, have you tried speaking to the parents? I think that Chris has the best idea. Something has to be done.
My pets are usually pleased with what I do, because they are not inflected with the concept of what I SHOULD be doing. My time is owned by: Missie,Thor, and Trinity!

I agree with everybody who says to try to talk to their parents. I hate kids who are like that but absolutely love children! Who knows, maybe the parents aren't aware of their behavior (how many parent that you know really know every little detail of what their children do while they are not in their eye sight). But, I would also suggest to keep up what you're doing and keeping an eye on your dogs when they are outside whenever you can, at least until you know for sure that those kids will respect your dogs.

We have been very lucky so far in having people around us who's kids either ignore our dog all together or play with her as she was their own! Good luck with your problem though, hope things get better, and don't turn for the worse!
